Chick-A-Dee of Lewiston

The Lobster pie with the crumbs was the largest most tender and flavorful entrée I have ever tasted. It was huge the best value on the menu. The Chowder on the other hand was even better. It would certainly rank in the top three fish chowders I’ve ever had in my life. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, and the whole dinner experience was ultimately relaxing.

So glad we searched for seafood restaurants in the area because if we hadn’t we probably wouldn’t have stumbled upon this gem with it being out of town a little ways. My gosh you will not be disappointed with the food and the service. The fried green beans were by far my favorite part of the meal and were as delicious as everyone said in the reviews. As were the sweet potato fries. I got the haddock entree with lobster sauce and dressing and my husband got the fisherman’s platter. Both were good dishes and massive portions (dinner). I imagine the lunch portion is a very reasonable portion, but if you want leftovers I suggest the dinner portion for another meal out of it. Will definitely be back!

I used to live in the area and had to come back for the day. Had to eat here as the food is always good. Had the boston lobster pie. Delicious. Highly recommend it. The stuffed mushrooms were great. Love this place.

Took my enemy my elderly parents out for dinner. Everything was excellent. And the waitress, Dinah, was attentive and made sure everything was taken care of - she was excellent. A different group, no elderly parents this time. Sarah was a excellent waitress.

Nice little restaurant. Food was excellent. Service was speedy, friendly and attentive. Was seated in the front dining room which was really noisy. A little difficult to hold conversation when diners were arriving or leaving. Other than that it's tastefully decorated and very clean.
I had the seafood stuffed baked haddock. It was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly. The stuffing was rich and buttery, with a slight crunch. And had decent amounts of crabmeat in it. My Girlfriend got the garlic and lemon backed haddock. With sweet potato fries. (Of course I had to steal a couple) they're really good. Our friend got the fried shrimp 0late and she was very happy with it as well. It was my first time here and look forward to going back. As a side note. We got the lunch size portions and we needed take away boxes. They're not shy with the portions.

This was my first time visiting. It was a Friday night. The place was packed, even still, the wait was quite resonable at around 15-20 mins. But they give you a pager so you can go to your vehicle if you'd like. They have an entire gluten-free menu and dedicated fryer. Portions are very generous. Our server was lovely and just very friendly and knowledgeable. I had gf chicken nuggets and ff. The food was tasty. I will definitely go back.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars , I would.

Mary D (short blond waitress that worked on May 7th) - shout out to the BEST server and hands down BEST service my mother and I have ever experienced! She was fast , had an amazing personality , and she handled us with outstanding service and care. There aren't many waitresses who can wait on as many tables as she had and fill everyones need, be attentive , warm , and accomodating with a smile.

The manager on duty (son of owner) was absolutely charming , extremely nice and accommodating , and a pleasure to speak to. It was so cool to hear stories of this place , and the many years of history behind it! It was extremely busy and this manager was working just as hard as his staff , had everything under control , and was even attentive to his own staffs needs during the rush. I apologize I forgot your name but BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU!

The food was AMAZING, it did not disappoint !The seafood stuffing was so good we asked to take some home and said we would pay for it. The manager had no issue accomodating us ! The fan tail shrimps were large ,meat , juicy , and perfectly breaded , the chowder was out of this world ! The haddock bites are soft and flaky , very flavorful! The stuffed mushrooms with the seafood stuffing was my favorite !

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help with making my mom's weekend so special. It is one of our favorite experiances and we WILL be back.

What kind of food do you get when you are traveling through Maine? Seafood, of course! This place came highly recommended by the locals. They have an extensive menu and very helpful and friendly wait staff. I got the Fisherman's Platter, the large. I should have got the small. The large was so big that the waitress asked if she could get me anything else and I answered, "How about two more hungry people?". Later, I asked her if I would get a t-shirt if I cleaned my plate." I would have to say that this place was a great catch.
Update: I went back for another round the next night. This time I got the Loaded Lobster Roll another masterpiece of culinary art.

This place is awesome, good food, clean, I like how they offer lunch size. The seafood is on point. This is a must try place!

Always awesome service and consistently great food. Fit for foodies no matter what you order. Seafood always fresh and cooked just as it should be in your selection of batters. Take home leftovers are wonder for another meal the next day. How awesome is that!

OMG! I have missed whole-bellied fried clams for years and Chick-A-Dee had amazing ones. Sat at the tiny bar and just ate and drank in bliss. Such a great meal.

It was an amazing experience and a great place to talk about what you need to while you are waiting for the food most plates are great size and or enough for 2 people but as a cook for 20+ yrs there lobster roll could of been better put together and it be more appealing than on a hamburger bun that's smashed like a pancake! The other person got An appetizer and it could have feed 2 people. So just a reminder you don't have to push the bun harder to get it hot. Or try a roll!

Are you needing to be gluten free? This is the restaurant for you, real food, an entire gluten free menu including fried food. Yes, onion rings, fish, fries, all without worrying about cross contamination, a true eating pleasure. Good service, regular gluten prices, no extra charge for being sick. Head over, it's worth the trip.

Awesome seafood! I had the baked garlic haddock, the fish stew, butternut squash, and sweet potato fries. All were very tasty. Highly recommend

Very cozy, family friendly! Courtesy staff. Very popular place. Deliciously fresh made food suited to your request. I will definitely be back.

I ordered over the phone and picked up 30-45 minutes later(they were busy). One fishermans platter meal plus fried mushrooms appetizer and it fed two people plus an extra meal for the day after. It was delicious and price was good for the amount we received.

Excellent Gluten Free options, especially breaded seafood and onion rings using rice flour. Warm attentive wait staff. Clean environment . Will be a regular from now on.

This place is heaven-sent for any seafood lover that suffers from gluten sensitivity. They have so many accommodations available, baked items, along with GF FRIED shrimp, clam strips, fish, chicken strips, you name it! When the waitress told me I could order gluten free onion rings my jaw hit the table and I almost started crying I was so overjoyed. I haven’t had onion rings in over 4 years since I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity, and these were worth the wait! The prices were outstanding, and the lobster was overflowing on my sandwich (which was their lunch size!)! As you can see in the picture- even the haddock in my chowder was stuffed to the brim! We are already planning our next dinner back!🦞 So glad we found this place!

the food was quick, hot and do very tasty. the waitress was nice and prompt. definitely a must visit, if your in the area.
