Oxford House Inn & Restaurant

We enjoyed a lovely Easter Dinner, lamb shank for myself and traditional ham for my wife, both absolutely delicious and large portioned. Appetizers of Deviled Eggs and Crab Cakes accompanied with imaginative cocktails were outstanding. The new owners Lillian and Michael have carried on the excellence that Oxford House is known for.

Outstanding in every way. The food is fabulous and service is impeccable. You cannot beat the atmosphere in this gorgeous Victorian mansion with mountain views out the back windows. They have seating on their porch as well as a unique bar in the basement that you must see if you are lucky enough to visit. We’ve been there three or four times now and I always look forward to going back.

Hosts Jonathan and Natalie were lovely and the rest of the staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were thoughtful and clean and the food was excellent. A great launch spot for White Mountain adventure.

This place is great every single time I go. It's a bit of a drive but it's so worth it. Staff is always kind and food is always tasty (please bring the deviled eggs back :) !!). BTW I got a chuckle from the review before me. I'm glad the owner responded and cleared up the situation. Makes me like the place even more!!

A great place for a date night. We have never stayed here but we visit the restaurant every time we are in town. Great food, great service and a very romantic atmosphere.

Our visit to Fryeburg would not have been complete without eating here. A little on the pricey side but nothing I didn't expect. Fantastic food, wonderful service, and the perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Excellent dinner with friends. Lovely atmosphere. Beautifully restored old home. We were seated in the back room with a view of the farm below and the mountains above. We also had a view of the birdfeeder which was attracting many yellow finches. We had exceptional service, seated quickly and our server was very pleasant and attentive. Our dinners were all well made - Salmon, Porkchop (special) and Seared Tuna. All were plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We tried the creme brulee for desert - a perfect ending to our experience!! Recommend!!

My husband and I have always enjoyed Oxford House. Tonight two friends and myself dined downstairs in the pub. We all had the burger……I added the onion jam and it was AMAZING. I will be going back again soon to enjoy this amazing meal!

An amazing dinner at the Oxford House Inn on Saturday night. The view was absolutely stunning and the food... Wow! The roasted onion & parsnip soup was so ridiculously delicious. And the vegan chicken and mash -- I'm going to have to return just to have that dish. I'm allergic to meat (weird but true) and often feel like the vegetarian option is an afterthought. The vegetarian and vegan offerings aren't huge in number but taste is 100%. Absolutely a great place for vegetarians to enjoy.

Charles and I shared a romantic Valentines dinner at the Inn. The atmosphere was quiet, warm and inviting. The food was delicious with a vast selection of wine. The hostess and wait staff were attentive and our food arrived quickly. We would definately go there for dinner again in the future.

Ended up here because of a work and snow event schedule colliding ...but was a very fortuitous accident! The room is great and not overpriced. The food in the restaurant is incredible! I had the Angus burger with cheese and sweet potatoe fries, with a glass of Sandeman Porto- 20yr Tawny. Perfect!!

Great place for dinner. I love the Steak Frite and Cobb salad. Service is always perfect. Price is great. Quality is unbeaten. My favorite meal in the valley.
9 30 23 What a nice way to end my birthday month. It was great to see Natalie and her amazing staff. I used open tables to make a reservation. It is pretty good.
4 out of 5 of us had the steak frite for dinner with the bib salad. It was deliciously fantastic.
Onion rings, Buffalo shrimp, and spring rolls for appies. Their famous maple Manhattan was consumed by my Joycie.
Their homemade ice cream for desert.
It is such a relaxing atmosphere and delicious night.
I would add photos, but we all ate it too quickly.

Stepped out of my food comfort zone to try this plant based Chicken Korma dish last week after a delicious bowl of mussels as an appetizer. It was just awesome! The menu here always offers an excellent variety. Oxford House is our go to place for consistently good eats .

Had reservations for 14 people. Seated quickly, servers were very attentive, food was amazing and nice atmosphere.
Our group had a great experience.

Parking can be a little tight during the dinner rush but there are spots you just might have to walk a few feet.

Definitely stop in and give this place a try.

We attended a hospitality dinner and while we were not able to mingle the atmosphere was so charming. I had a pear ginger martini which was AMAZING! I smelled the pear as I brought the glass near my nose, the ginger was very light. We had a 5 course small meal dinner with dessert. Every single dish was outstanding, my favorite app was the Cold River Gin and citrus smoked salmon. The best entree was the pastrami spiced Pineland Farm hangar steak. Two maple desserts were amazing! If you have the chance to get dinner here, do it!

Truly a culinary experience! This limited room B/B has a wonderful Restaurant & basement Bar with small tables to relax and enjoy a cocktail ! Dinner is served in many vintage furnished rooms on the first floor ! A few tables are on a back porch that have a unbelievable view of mountains in the distance! Tables are also avaliable on a wraparound porch in the front of building that are very nice & airy! The food is So Good! Vegan dishes are also available! We ordered 1 of everything on the appetizers with our party of 6 ! Nothing was left ! Adirondack chairs & campfire pit are in the backyard to enjoy the Sunset ! Enjoy ! 😉

We contacted the Oxford House Inn to see if they could host an intimate 20 person reception for a wedding. They were extremely enthusiastic even from the beginning. Natalie was extremely helpful and easy to contact to set everything up, and they worked with us to create the perfect meal (even with numerous people in our party with severe allergies). They were so accommodating and friendly, even when we showed up around half an hour early. They even let us move some tables to take pictures in front of their beautiful scenic window. The wait staff was so wonderful, and the food was absolutely incredible. It was probably my favorite meal that I’ve ever eaten. We are beyond ecstatic that we chose the Oxford House to host our reception. If I could give more stars I absolutely would. We will definitely be coming back, and celebrating anniversaries for many years to come. Thank you for everything!!!

I have eaten at the Oxford house inn over the 15 years I’ve been living in the area: it’s always a A+ experience. Last time I went I was celebrating the sale of my property and I was surprised to get complimentary appetizers (delish)! I’m now living even closer and it is my go to restaurant. The ambiance is warm, staff is fantastic and the food is very unique and delicious. And the price is spot on . I love the mussels and a pint Thursday at the pub! Just experienced the most AMAZING dinner here. The staff are welcoming and very attentive to the guests, and the food was some of the very best I have ever had in my life, both in flavor and in presentation. The pear ginger martini had such a fresh pear flavor. I will absolutely return. Thank you Oxford House, you are all doing a fantastic job!

Excellent food and hospitality! We spent the night and had dinner and breakfast there. I highly recommend it! We promised to unplugg for the weekend so i regretfully have 0 pictures of our experience, but it was all beautiful and delicious!
