Excellent little burger spot that is absolutely worth stopping by on your way up north. The space is very clean and friendly and its a order at the counter and sit yourself kind of spot (we were in and out in about 30 minutes). We got a burger, dog, fries and shake and they were all so well done and delicious. The food presentation was super tidy and the portions were just right - I thought of this place as like a local, better version of a five guys (kinda). Overall a wonderful little burger spot and one I’ll be visiting again each and every time I go Portland

Excellent burgers at a reasonable price. They also have very good hot dogs, french fries and milkshakes. The menu is simple and streamlined, so there aren't really specialty burgers or anything like that. Service is usually fast and it's also a good place to get take out.

Visited Lee Franks twice recently, first with a friend that had been raving about it and the second time when passing through South Berwick with my Husband and Son. The service is outstanding and the food is affordable, amazing, real and fresh!! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great intimate atmosphere to enjoy a burger, one of their many hotdogs choices and some of the best fries I've ever had! Don't forget to add a shake! Each shake is made to order and they are fantastic!! Definitely a must visit if you are in the Southern Maine area! If not, I still recommend you make the drive, it is truly that good!

Wife and I got a single and double cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, onion rings, a Chicago dog, a N.Y. dog and a chocolate milkshake.
Excellent smashburgers! The chili on the cheese fries was very tasty. The onion rings had a nice crispy texture to the batter and was served with ranch. The Chicago dog was very good and the NY dog was also very good. The milkshake went perfectly with all of it.
Timely and very courteous service, competitively priced, and the environment inside felt warm and inviting. Looking forward to more meals there!

Very,good...read the bad reviews of the Chili and they COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG..got a Chili Cheese Dog and it was the BEST I've ever had.My wife got the Double Cheeseburger and it was the perfect size,cooked perfect and on a nice soft bun.We split an order of Onion Rings which were superb...very light batter and fried to perfection with some nice Ranch dipping sauce on the side.The girl at the counter was very Attentive and came out and made sure we were satisfied.Talked to the two young gentlemen doing the cooking and they OBVIOUSLY care about making nice food.As far as cost...it's on par with ALL the Burger spots and cheaper than a few but THEY BLOW FIVE GUYS OUT OF THE WATER!...except for the fries.Overall it's clean,inexpensive and very very good...the dogs are high quality and the toppings are high quality as well,I'll be back often.

Lee Franks has the small time burger feel combined with the ultra simple, In and Out burger. Their burgers are more reminiscent of Smash burger or Culver's Butter burgers, meaning super tasty.
The staff is extremely friendly, the establishment is clean and well kept. Because it's a new place it is inundated but service is quick. I really like the flavor of the burger, I always get an extra thick shake and I can't recommend this place enough, especially in the small town of South berwick. Best burger on the coast 2021.

Simple & delicious every time! Super good burgers and milkshakes and love their crispy crinkle fries. Highly recommend!

Honestly an excellent experience all around. Service was great and food came out really fast and was excellent quality. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was very comfortable (although the chairs are not made for chubby people) Definitely expect a return visit, I would be there once a week if it wasn't a 45 minute drive.

Awesome service great food! I love this place. If you just want a burger or dog or both with some chili cheese fries and a shake or a pop this is your place. Nothing fancy just great good. Check it out!

Great food and friendly staff. Old time flavor with a NY style dog with brown mustard and saurrkraut, a smash cheese burger and krinkle fries.

They have the best onion rings we’ve ever had!!!! The Ranch dressing served with the onion rings are a must! The hot dogs were delicious too!!! Staff was friendly and fast service.

Great local burger joint that also does hotdogs. Freshly made shakes done the old-fashioned way. Burgers are done as smash burgers, really juicy.

We heard great things about Lee Franks, so we took a ride over from Dover. I must say.....the burgers are AMAZING. We will certainly come back again !!!! Sorry for this picture.....but the burger didn’t make it long enough to have a picture taken. Just take my word for it....get over here and try them out.

Love this spot. Classic burgers, steamed dogs, frappes, fries all authentic. Super atmosphere and prices make this an easy choice any time. A real gem.

One of the best burgers I've ever had at a price that's hard to beat. I'm still thinking about it! The veggies were fresh and crisp, the burger perfectly cooked (smash burger style) and not overly greasy, and the bun buttered and toasted. My only regret is not "making it dirty" which adds sautéed onions and special sauce. My kids loved their milk shakes as well! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delivered surprisingly quick, and the restaurant was clean and orderly. A true example of how keeping it simple and doing it right can really make something special. Can't wait to go back and try out a chili dog!

Just had lunch there with the Boys. It was amazing! Owner and his wife, along with all the staff were 5 Stars all the way! It was nice talking with him about his Journey in life and what landed them in Maine, and only to find out he came from the same town as us back in Commie NY! Excellent Job LeeFrank!

Had not been in a year, Homemade Vegetarian Burger with cheese, fries & handmade onion rings, AMAZING!! Friends have had both the burgers and hot dogs and also very pleased 😀. Highly recommend!!
