Fullest of full service at this shop. And a big inventory to boot. They also cover running sports. Lots of spare parts for sale but I struck out on the brake pads for my bike — probably too popular.

Huge shoutout to April at High Gear Sports who went above and beyond by lending us her personal Garmin charger so we could charge our watches! Garmin users know the struggle is real- “if it’s not on Garmin it doesn’t count!” Customer service was 100%!!

Travelled to Michigan from out of state for vacation and bike was damaged while transporting. High Gear worked me in the day after I called and made the needed repairs quickly and at an affordable price! Great customer service!

Great bike shop with great bikes, but mostly because of the people. Knowledgeable and friendly, the staff understands a rider’s needs and is there to help people of all ages and ranges of abilities or interest in cycling (and running too apparently, but if I run to the refrigerator that’s already too much running for me.) We are very fortunate in this area to have several good bike shops that would get 5-star reviews from me, so my high praise of High Gear is not a critique of the others. It is most impressive to me how High Gear has been able to maintain exemplary standards for service and reliability along with excellent bikes throughout the years I have been visiting their shop. Recommend without reservation.

We were traveling thru the area - RVing with our Specialized Turbo bikes. My bike would not turn on. Damien went out of his way to diagnose the issue and work with Specialized to get a replacement battery sent to keep us on the road. Can’t say enough how much we appreciate how Damien went above and beyond to help us out. We highly recommend this shop for service.

Great team with great service had me in and out quick when I got a flat. The only down side to this shop is the that there is no BMX section but they are still available to order I'm sure

Fantastic service! I purchased a pair of brooks running shoes, the man that assisted me was incredibly knowledgeable about the product and fit. He patiently brought me many shoes to try and suggested shoes that would help my feet. Wonderful experience! Thank you!

I messed up my rear derailleur from a stick riding the Boyne Highland trails, called the shop spoke to Damian, he said bring it in. This was Saturday 230 (they close at 430) on Memorial weekend, they would be closed on Sunday/Monday. He immediately looked at it and was able to get me back riding. Super service, very nice people there.

Great selection, possibly the best in northern Michigan. Very knowledgeable staff, all enthusiasts. I think some customers expect a bunch of ass-kissing sales people who will bend over backwards to land a sale at any cost but this is not your place if you're such a customer. Expect honest, no B.S. answers, top-notch service and look out for the deals on the clearance racks before I get to them. My choice bike store I the L.P.

Daemian went above and beyond to help us with a bike purchase. He was extremely patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He also was able to provide suggestions for running shoes based on our individual needs.

Just had a tune-up done there and my bike is riding as good as new! Reasonable prices, friendly service, and quality work. Can't ask for much more than that.

Great selection of Brooks and Saucony running shoes. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect pair! The prices were the same if not lower than what I saw online.

Great bike shop. They let me borrow some tools to fix a few things and had great prices on some cool accessories we needed for the ride. 👌
