Kitab Cafe and Bookstore

The espresso is so creamy and delicious and the chocolate croissants were phenomenal. I've never had one as good as the one here. They use a very high quality dark chocolate that has a slight berry note in the after finish.

Very nice establishment. The inside is beautiful, clean, and inviting. The patrons were friendly, and the staff was very kind and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. Will 100% come back.

Absolutely must visit! We drive all the way from Rochester Hills to this cafe because of how good they are. My son got the salted caramel oat milk draft last time . I usually don’t drink sweetened beverages, but I took a sip from it and fell in love. I plan on heading there again very soon!:)

Great interior and atmosphere! very chill and cozy! Coffee is delicious!! and service was fast 💨 perfect match with the dessert places around! lattes were great and beans 🫘 were just perfect- not too bitter but strong!

Consider pictures of sandwiches so people know what they look like. Please bring pourovers here too! People love them. Also can we have a happy hour for food? There's always so much I want to try but the prices are too high to try it all. Also consider bigger sandwiches! They are so good but undersized.

That being said, it's a great place with great food and coffee. 4 star on atmosphere because people are often talking very loud in groups and I prefer a calmer, more quiet coffee shop.

I really enjoy this place, it’s nice to support independent coffee houses. And this one is unique in that it’s a book shop too. The drinks are always good and it’s usually a quiet place to sit and enjoy your beverage. I’m not a huge tea drinker but I tried this tea called “Grandma’s Golden” and it was excellent

I like coming to this coffee shop, coffee quality is great, some of the staff attitude could be better. Hours on google says open 7am unfortunately it’s pass 8am and still closed.

We only got coffee & it's so delicious, not over powering flavors, but use some sort of homemade blends that are fabulous. I want to drive 45 mins. to get it. So excellent. I love the African, Ethiopian flavors. Thank you, thank you so much for putting LOVE in a drink.

Wow, incredible incredible place ! Sandwiches remarkable! Get the Caprese and add pastrami will blow your mind. Such a perfect place for Hamtramck, going to become a regular! Prices are unbeatable!

The Kitab Cafe in Hamtramck is a really nice place where people who love coffee gather to enjoy their favorite drinks. When I walked in, I immediately liked the cozy and relaxed feeling. If you want to go to a place where you can have a really yummy cup of coffee, I suggest you go to Kitab Cafe in Hamtramck. Even though I didn't check out their books, I could see that everyone there really loves their coffee. It's a cool experience that you shouldn't miss.

The vibes of the cafe/library is serene. Though space is limited, I was able to find a seat. Nice selection of menu items from drinks, sweets, to sandwiches. I ordered the Holbrook and the sandwich was served hot - just the right amount and rather filling Alhamdulillah. The jalapeños and chipotle sauce added a nice kick :)

Great lattes and sandwiches!! I especially like the oatmilk draft lattes - lots of good syrups available. Warm inviting atmosphere and great location (even has its own little parking lot)

Great place for a quick bite to eat and a coffee. Cozy and quick service to keep it simple. Will add photos later, as I like their sandwiches alot.
