Summer Palace

Some of the best food I’ve ever had. It was literally so good I went back three times in the same week and just started ordering randomly off the menu.

Super good dinner!! FRESH vegetables and BIG portions. I’ve been eating at Summer Palace for 20 years at least. Always a favorite but updating my review. Still great. Prices are higher but so is the quality. And honestly average prices for the area. Lo Mein, Broccoli and Beef and Crab Rangoon were on my plate tonight. Yum!!

Another nice little place hidden in a pleasant street of shops.

A well-kept, loved old neighborhood can offer jems like this one.

Try Chinese tonight and have a nice meal.

Stopped in for the first time while at work and got the Singapore Mi Fun or they call Singapore noodles House (chicken, shrimp, pork) It cost almost $17 but they gave me what felt like 10 lbs of food. It was really good especially the chicken. The biggest portion I've ever seen. Probably equal to 3X of what you get other places.

The food is awesome. The Management accommodated a special need that I had without a problem. They have a returning customer on a regular.

We order from here at least once a month - everything is delicious but you have to try the orange chicken!!! Always so hot and fresh.

This place was great! Don't let the plastic curtain and cardboard boxes confuse you, this place is definitely open and operating. It's a takeout-only place at current. We got the szechuan chicken combo and Mongolian beef combo. Both were excellent and we barely finished half the box before feeling absolutely stuffed. Food to price ratio is insane.

Good food, friendly service, large portions. Highly recommended.

Prices are a bit high because they have to pay Grosse Pointe Park rent, but the portions are good.

The rare one time I had a minor issue with my order, they were apologetic and they just wanted to make it right.

PRO TIP: occasionally I've called in a carryout order 15-30 minutes after their official closing time. It seems that if they're having a busy night, they'll take orders late.

Superb sushi, love that new touch, was my original review 6 years ago...sadly the sushi option is gone. I been here off and on for many years. Food is better, they a good cook now perhaps up there in the good cooks there has been over the years. Very seldom have I had anything I don't care for, which speaks well for this family owned business. although take out in the only option the quick preparation is a plus that well makes up for that and it's close. The price has went up compared to before but it's a similar deal anywhere you go thats no big deal or no reason to not consider this as a place of convenience. Would recommend

Seems Summer palace has upped their game. Always a decent spot. Lately it has been amazing. Good work!

There are no tofu dishes listed on their print menu, but I spoke to one of the owners one day and they in fact do make Tofu dishes. I believe there are 3, Szechuan Tofu, Pad Thai with Tofu and another one that is non-spicy. My Szechuan Tofu was $14.58 altogether with tax. It's a generous portion and the above photo shows what's still there after I not only had a small portion, but shared some with a family member. It was very flavorful,tasty and a medium high spice level to me. I recommend it to anybody who enjoys spice.I will try the other dishes in the future. It's nice to support local and small businesses 💚🌟

Not fair of me to wait so long to review. I love Asian food, and have tried several different types at numerous different locations, and this is hands down the best deal for your money. On top of that, their sushi is some of the best that I have ever had. I went on a spree one month and spent over $200 on sushi from this place, and in hindsight it was worth every penny. As I see others have noticed, the garden roll is amazing, and the crunch roll is worth trying as well. Thanks for sticking around, and thanks for upping your game! (Also try the pan fried dumplings)

I ordered two combination plates. One shrimp egg foo young and the other sesame chicken. I don't know how many egg foo young patties I had but it seems like it was a lot. I haven't even finished one whole patyy yet. The shrimp were so big. I've never had this much food in a combination plate before from anywhere. My first time ordering from here, but it won't be my last. And I had four egg rolls because I love them.

Fantastic! 'Ordered G.T. chick + Shrimp f.r.... delicious! Chick' nice and crispy, plentiful shrimp... generous serving, fast delivery- WOW! I love these guys!

Fresh food, always perfectly prepared. Quick. Great and friendly service. The best Asian fare in the Pointe’s and maybe anywhere.

We have a family of eight and Summer Palace is a hit at our home. They cook up a healthy and taste variety of Chinese dishes and pack them ready to go in large portions. The cost is reasonable and the food is fresh. Highly recommend!

I'm a long haul truck driver that delivers freight to the Chrysler Jefferson assembly plant on Conner st in Detroit; Delivery was fast and the food was great. To me presentation is everything, the sushi I ordered was fresh, summer palace even threw in chopsticks to eat the ginger and sushi with. a gentleman took my order and notice I did not have a menu so he suggested things I should try , he did not rush me and was polite through it all; This is upscale Chinese at its best for the working class individual like myself.

Absolutely phenomenal. Quick service. Quality food. Ordered take out. Chicken was still crispy after we got it home. Sauces are delicious. Generous portions.
