Smith Park

I'm finally glad they are going to improve the park. It's been in the making for a long time. I hope they redo the parking lot. This is a huge improvement for people to be able to use the park like it was years ago. I'm glad the city is realizing how important this small park is to locals. Continue to improve this area. Bring life back to Essexville.

It's a really nice park. Sand is underneath all the playground stuff. So just be prepared.

A small but quant little park, great for families, boating, fishing and just relaxing. Free ample parking, play equipment for the kids and plenty of green grass.

Nice relaxing place to watch the ships coming and going. It's right next to a gravel company, interesting to watch the ship unloading. Nice place for the kids to play for a bit and have a picnic lunch.

Absolutely the best place to be, to watch the, Tall Ship's come into Bay City.

Nice park to dock boat and have a picnic. It's located at buoy #16 on the Saginaw River

Great place to take your little ones to since they have a playground there. People might complain about the smell, but they should know it's because it's also a boat launch too. It's a nice big area to run around and frolic in. One issue is the swings are hard plastic instead of leather, so you might feel uncomfortable on them. Nonetheless, great place! :)

Always clean. Safe playground for kids. Community seating. Good place to fish if the weeds haven't grown in yet. Best place to watch the tall ships come in.

Cute park to get away and chill for a bit. I chased some Canadian geese and helped an injured bird here.

Smith Park is a great little park for the entire family. Amenities include a two place boat launch for trailerable boats and a new launch for kayaks. There is a playground for the kids and porta-potties are also available. The park is located near a gas station/convenience store for any last minute drinks or snacks. Located along the Saginaw River, travel time to the Saginaw Bay is around 20 minutes.

Great place for a family outing. I loved this park as a child and now enjoy it with my own children. The property is well maintained, an excellent place for off shore fishing or putting the boat in the water or just to simply sit back and relax. Playground equpiment is clean and maitained as well.

This is a simple, yet nice park. There is a free boat launch and fishing area, a playground, and places to picnic and grill. This park is usually quite peaceful and usually maintained well.

Smith Park is a hidden little secret of Essexville. Smith Park is nice it has two boat ramps that are well-kept up. Smith Park also has a kayak launch area and a nice playground for the kids

Nice place to take the kids. They have a park/playground,boat launch,places to shore fish,and restroom.

Nice quiet Park in beautiful Essexville always enjoyable good place to go fishing just sit watch the birds and enjoy the breeze kids love to play here

Was a quick and easy launch, was also easy to get the boat out of the water.

Great place to watch ships come through or cast a line. Stay out of the nasty river.

Took the kids there and the dogs and they had so much fun the absolutely loved it!
