Grand Marais Municipal Liquor Store

There was a very nice selection of local alcohols made right here from Lake Superior water and a LARGE selection of just about anything you could be looking for your drinking needs.
We were looking for a gift to bring home to my Taekwondo Grand Master and his family.

Oh my, they have remodeled this and it is beautiful. Every employee is so friendly and smiling. The breakfast is amazing and free. Waking up here is great and the walk in shower has 2 rain forest showerheads. We loved it.

And the PRIZE for most extreme corona virus response goes to... the Muni! Congratulations!! You’ve mixed yourselves into a cocktail of three parts fear two parts ignorance and one part arrogance. I love the way you one upped the CDC guidelines, creating your own covid policy of mandatory hand sanitizing! You are truly overachievers! Where you fail in common sense you excel in fear mongering. It’s almost as if you intend to single handedly wipe the planet of viruses. Kudos to your grit and ingenuity! If only our young people had your work ethic. I Love your Ill placed enthusiasm however misguided it is. 99.8 is not just the survival rate for the sum total of ALL covid cases it is also the certainty with which you will lead the self destruction of this town and less significantly your business if you continue to operate with PANIC and ignorance. Another important number is 102. This is the number of confirmed cases in all of cook county. This number includes false positives of which there are many as the test is inherently inaccurate. By far, the most important number is ZERO; the number of deaths related to covid in all of Cook County. It is not for all your efforts these numbers, not for your vigilance or your raw determination. There is truly no battle to be won. Take your sign down, put on a smile, after all, you live in arguably one of the most beautiful towns on earth. Celebrate life and the wild and beauty and follow the actual CDC guidelines. Thanks for the bottle of champagne. In truth because your staff was truly a vile, nasty, eye rolling, snotty thing, you really deserve a one star review. Compassion tells me it would be hell on earth working in the noxious environment of fear that you’ve created, so she gets one pass. I implore you all, fellow lovers of the north, snap out of it, the vitality of all that you hold dear is at stake. Peace and love.

Everything you expect in the liquor store. They have a nice selection of everything (including an extensive selection of local Minnesota beers). Staff has always been friendly and helpful when we've gone in looking for something specific!

The customer service is awesome here. They are on top of new liquors and beers/ales. Always a warm welcoming smile from the staff. An usually a hello...

Grand Marais is its usual charming self, with a great coffee shop (Java Moose) and many great restaurants, all perched beside the awesome Lake Superior.

Only one in town make it count. Friendly and helpful customer service. Was not busy early in the day.
