Thunder Bar & Restaurant

Got a to go order on a Monday and realized all of my local restaurants/bars are closed on Mondays. So very happy that this place was open. Staff is so friendly and the food is not your run of the mill bar food, it's better. It's good enough to bring the family, and restaurant is separate from the bar with large dining area good for friends, family, or Even an intimate date. Love it. Thanks for keeping up the good work, and we are so thrilled that our local businesses are starting open, we need you!

This place is one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been at. Not just locally, but anywhere. We stop here everyone I come to visit my dad and it's usually the highlight of the visit. From the staff to the food, this place is phenomenal!

Awesome food in a great small town atmosphere about 15 minutes outside Mankato, MN. Our waitress was fun and helpful. They make their own breading for the walleye sandwich as well as their house made tartar sauce. I had the Eagle Burger...6 oz. Bacon cheeseburger topped with BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw (tator tots on the side)....a deliciously heafty burger that'll leave you licking your fingers and in need of a few extra napkins. If you are anywhere near Thunder Bar & Restaurant (or not)....it's definitely worth the trip!

Now if you are looking for All You Can Eat BBQ Ribs or Breaded Shrimp, this might be your place to go on Friday Night. The also have Prime Rib here as well! The place was clean and masks required. I also had homemade apple crisp. Nummy! When ate all my food, i was definately full! The ribs were very good!!

Hidden gem in a small town. Staff was friendly and food was excellent. Place is kid friendly as well, they brought out our son's food as soon as it was ready. I ordered their whiskey steak medium with cheesy hash. Steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. Son had the mini corn dogs and fries and he loves them. Price was super reasonable. I will be making my way back there as they have a couple other specials I would like to try. The prime rib looked fantastic. Would recommend, I drove about 40 mins to try this place and it was well worth it.

Scrumptious dinner at the Thunder Bar & Restaurant tonight. Walleye for me and prime rib for him. Great service and atmosphere

Smaller restaurant. Went here because friends had recommended it. It did not disappoint. The staff is friendly. Our food was very good. Would highly recommend. Was worth the drive from Mankato.

Our 1st time there. We had my 10 yo daughter with. Definitely kid friendly. I believe there is 3 entrances into the establishment. When we arrived it was about 20 minutes to 5. The restaurant was not open yet but the bar was. So we could enter. A bit confused but we found a table and settled in. Got a drink from the bar and the bartender gave us menus. Within 10 minutes or less a waitress came our way to let us know. She took our order. Staff was very personable. So friendly and knowledgeable. We got our food relatively quickly. Nice serving sizes, fresh tasting. Very impressed. We definitely enjoyed the experience. We will be back again.

If you are anywhere near Good Thunder, you must check out Thunder Bar. Good drinks, good food. If the kitchen isn’t open, no worries, they will cook up some house made flat crust pizza to fill your belly.

It's a great bar and grill. The food is good, prices are fair, service is really good. Has a nice atmosphere for everybody. The restaurant side is perfect for the family.

Great food, got the all you can eat ribs. Waitress was amazing, very attentive and polite. Her name was Robyn. Dont get out here as much as I should. Always on top of their game and food is always perfection.

Super awesome waitress with great customer service. Her name is Laci(w an I) We knew it was going to be busy. But she found seating for us 5 within 2 minutes. And let us know that it would be an hour before we get our order. Folks who dine often here are very fortunate to have this kind of service. The walleye and shrimp meals were excellent. As was my luck on the pull tabs(thxLaci)$$$Cheers to the Thunder bar!!!!

Once again...what a great meal! Just as great as the meal was the staff is just the best. How very kind. My husband uses oxygen and he was welcome in early so he could get set up and comfortable. We so appreciated the extra care.

This place is amazing. The food is great, the service is excellent and the price is spot on. I was very impressed with the staff. The staff is efficient and friendly. The owners should be extremely happy with how the staff seems to take pride in the service and cleanliness. Can't say enough positive things about this place.

Other restaurant owners need to take notes because this place is amazing. They have an incredible amount different options on their menu, the drinks are good, the food is amazing, the service was awesome and the pricing is the best I've seen out of many different places. you definitely get your money's worth.

I love love love coming here. The food is so delicious, the portions are all worth the price. I feel like you get what you pay for or even better than what you pay for.
This is a place that is worth going to and paying for. Their specials are my favorites. Prime rib, shrimp, and ribs are what I've tried and all are extremely delicious. I reccomend this restaurant to everyone, for any occasion.
It may not be the fanciest but the food is amazing, the people are friendly, its a very home feel to it. By far my favorite restaurant so far. It accommodates to everyone. Delicious!
