Anchor Inn Resort

The cabin (4) was immaculate upon our arrival. The floors, both carpet and vinyl, were spotless. The kitchen, including the refrigerator, was very clean. Monty greeted us upon our arrival and Heather soon joined us. Monty helped us launch my boat. I also saw him help another guest load his boat onto his trailer. They are very helpful friendly hosts. I will be back 😁.

Upon arrival we were meet by the onwers, Heather and Monty. They checked us in only took a minute. When we walked into the cabin (9) it was perfect. Clean, everything in its place. Had everything we needed and more. Amazing view of the water. Anything we needed they were happy to help with. We couldn’t figure out the air. And they dropped everything to turn it on (just had to show us). Lol. Also taught us how to clean northern. Caught a pike off the dock, and they came running to help. Amazing week. Thank you. We will be back!!!!

The cabins are impeccable, loaded with everything you will need for an up north experience.

The lodge is a wonderful place to end the day. Drinks, beverages and snacks are abundant. The Anchor Inn apparel is darling! Lots of fishing stories are told here!

And, of course, the fishing on Sand Lake is amazing. The ATV trails take you deep into the backwoods.

What a beautiful resort. We had cabin 9 near the boat docks and the river. The cabin was clean and really nice inside. The host were wonderful. Tom graciously took us out on his own boat to fish for northern and walleye one morning. We caught bluegill and perch off the bridge. The Lost 40 Scenic area with 200 year old pines is close by. Highly recommend this resort!

This place is a gem! Owners are such nice people! Very nice clean cabins! Beautiful lakes! Check it out!

Our family have been coming here since 1993...to us it feels like a second home as we are now three generations strong. The Kittermans have done a wonderful job catering to their guest's needs and constant updating of cabins and the resort as a whole. The fishing is good too!

Beautiful Days of Fun in the Sun! Good people, funny happy hours, evening fire, buffalo on the grill, fish, float or boat, frogs a plenty, shop till you drop in gift shop and leave with your favorite ice cream treat. Best cabin stay ever. Every amenity was considered. Excellent and caring staff. Amazing bait house and fish cleaning station. The landscape is pristine and the view is spectacular. Boat ramp a little small.

Bud and his staff are amazing and treat you like family. Their cabins are awesome, comfortable and we'll appointed. The fishing is great! I will definitely go back to Anchor Inn in the future.

I've been going to Anchor Inn Resort since the earlly 80's. The Kitterman family are such good, friendly people. I always look forward to the trip and always hate to leave. They treat me more like a friend than a customer. The area is quiet and peaceful and the fishing is the best. The Kitterman's are constantly improving the resort yet their rates are very competitive; including bait, fuel, and tackle. The cabins are modernized yet retain a backwoods ambiance. The carry-in fish fry is an event you don't want to miss. The people who go to Anchor Inn Resort are the friendliest you'll meet anywhere. I've tried other Minnesota fishing resorts, but I came back to Anchor Inn Resort and will never stray again!

The Anchor Inn is a great resort operated by a family that truly cares about their guests. You will be treated like family. The cabins are comfortable and well appointed and the fishing has never disappointed.

Fantastic resort, very fun new owners, Worth going to stay and we will be back again. Beautiful cabins.

If you like peace and quiet and serenity...along with good folks...you will find it here. Did I mention fish?? TONS of fish! Best place ever!! Have come here since the early 1970's. Love it...

Beautiful location, the family is awesome!! Lots to see within easy driving distance. It’s my 5th year and my husband’s 22nd!!
