Lakewood Lodge - Deer River, MN Resort

Lakewood Lodge is a fantastic resort run by fantastic people. Aimee and Preston are some of the nicest people you will meet. The resort is clean, quiet and kid friendly. Our group of kids had a great time in the lake, at the beach, on the playground and eating ice cream in the lodge.
Lakewood is tucked back in a quiet bay on the south side of the lake, it's a wonderful location. Highly recommend if you're looking for any of the above.

Stayed at lakewood lodge end of December for ice fishing trip. The host are very friendly the cabin was one of the nicest I have stayed in and the price was very reasonable will be back.

Beautiful in the fall. Went with a group of friends for a Guilty Party Murder Mystery Weekend and it was so much fun! The hosts at the resort were very helpful and accommodating. The cabins were clean and everything worked well. Comfortable place to hang out with a group of friends. I'd love to go back in the summer!

This place was great! I would highly recommend staying here. The cabin was very nice and roomy, the beach was clean, there were plenty of amenities and the owners were very friendly! My kids loved staying here. There were a lot of activities for the kids to participate in and they had a blast! Sand Lake is FULL of good size fish. Plenty of fun to be had for the whole family.

Loved the lodge we stayed in!! Beautiful, comfy, and warm. The owners are lovely people, felt like we were part of the family by the end of the weekend.

Great family vacation that exceeded our expectations! Beautiful accommodations, great views and gracious owners that went above and beyond! We loved the lake, pontoon, bonfires, yard games, volleyball and walks around the area. Only regret was we didn't stay longer! We stayed in cabin 10.

My husband and I have stayed at many resorts in Minnesota and Lakewood Lodge is by far the best resort. The owners Preston and Aimee are so welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The resort is so peaceful, clean and relaxing. My husband caught more fish than ever before. We have already booked for 2022 and are looking so forward to coming back!

Had a great trip with our family. Cabins were clean, owners were friendly and talkative, unlike many other resorts. If your looking for a trip up north, this is the resort!

Had a fun three day trip up at Lakewood Lodge! Caught plenty of fish also! It was a pleasure to meet the new owners Aimee and Preston. Great family! Can’t wait to head back up in the summer for our week long stay where the stress level is low!!

Absolutely one of the best vacations our family has ever taken! The resort is in a beautifully wooded setting. Our cabin was great! It was spotless clean and had everything we could have possibly needed, even including hangers in the closets. The lake views and especially the sunsets are gorgeous. Steve & Dani (the owners) were so nice and helpful. (We had many questions since we are only novice "outdoorsmen". We are already looking forward to booking a return trip!

Great accommodations for a fishing camp - very well organized and prepared for our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful wanting to go that extra mile to satisfy us. Caught a 28" Northern Pike within the first 10 minutes going out. Sand Lake is full of fish!!! We would highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank You.

My family started coming here over 12 years ago and I haven't been able to come for the last 9 years, but this was well worth the 1500 mile drive with my family of 6! Very family friendly! We loved the family bingo and the minnow races! Cabins are clean and comfortable! I highly recommend coming here, the staff is friendly and helpful! This is a home away from home!

Wow! Our visit here was wonderful! We enjoyed our cabin, particularly the sunset views from the screened in porch. We enjoyed the boat, the fishing, and the wildlife around and on the lake. The owners were hospitable, and made us feel welcome. We plan to come here again next year.

They hosted the first lodge Guilty Party Mysteries event. It was such a blast! They were amazing host for the event. Their cabins and grounds were spectacular!
