Kites Restaurant

Kiera is super friendly and suggested the cowboy steak for my husband, which was amazing. The burger is always delicious as well, but can we talk about the tomato soup?! My god, I’m not a soup person but this is by far the best soup I’ve had. This needs to be on the menu permanently, we would come every few days for just this tomato soup! So yummy and warms the belly. 10 stars for service and delicious food.

What a pleasant surprise!! We originally had a reservation with Crystal Tavern but due to their unprofessionalism and unwise pre-fix pricing we decided to go for Kites. We were a little bit hesitant at first due to the bad reviews we read. We soon discovered that the new staff and management were working extremely hard to elevate and deliver a worthy service. What can I say, they really did it.
We were extremely satisfied with how delicious all our courses were for dinner. Great drinks as well. Special thanks to our server Nana that truly and genuinely cared about the service. The Lamb Shank was phenomenal and the manager Joe extremely polite and helpful. Great atmosphere overall. Loved drinking some dessert wine by the fire place. We decided to come back for breakfast and we were not disappointed either! Well done, keep it up! Don't let the old reviews fool you.

I was at the bar last Saturday and had a bartender Katina who was absolutely amazing! She made amazing drinks and was very personable! She took care of me and my girlfriend all night. 10/10 recommend especially when Katina is there!

The bartender, I believe her name was Katina, was amazing! We had a great time and her service was top notch! It makes a huge difference to have a fun and nice bartender!

We were staying at their sister resort and the breakfast menu here sounded better and had more options. Large portions .I had an egg white omelette. It was good, but I couldn’t finish it. My husband had the classic eggs Benedict. He ate it all!!!
Our Server Jason was nice and friendly.He even gave us recommendations on things to do near by and things to do. We took his advice and walked on the Appalachian Boardwalk Trail. It was a nice nature walk.

Kites is one of the best restaurants on the planet. I’ve been coming here since I was 5, and will likely never stop coming back!

Whether you want a more formal dinner/date in the restaurant, a hang out session at the upstairs bar, or a let loose session down at the tiki by the pool, kites has got just what you need!

Friendly staff and delicious food too... Cannot possibly recommend this place enough.

This rating is based solely on the service we recieved at the bar at Kites. Barbara "Barbie" the waitress who was filling in as a bartender was awesome. We had a large group and no one waited for a drink. She was funny and personable. As someone who ran a bar for 20 years, she is truly an asset to your company whether she is waiting tables or tending bar. We only stayed as long as we did because of her.

Stayed at Minerals for the weekend and had both dinner and brunch at Kites restaurant.
Absolutely loved the place. First off, all the food was great. Had a steak that was cooked perfectly and a penne vodka that was excellent.
Brunch was equally as good, lots of options and everything was fresh.
Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and bar area, all of the staff was friendly and professional.
Overall experience was great and will be returning.

Had a quick bite before our spa treatment. Friendly service and tasty food! Recommend the avocado burrata toast and parm truffle fries

My family and I had Christmas dinner at Kites. The resort had many special Christmas themed functions and 1 that our boys really wanted to do, we would be at dinner while it was going on. The manager Fadi was very generous with sitting us well before our reservation so our boys could enjoy frosty’s palace. Our server was very attentive and sociable. My husband and I ordered off the special 3 course menu, while our boys ordered from the regular menus. Our appetizers were delicious ( crab cakes and calamari) my sons filet mignon was everything it should have been and my husbands and my prime rib was cooked exactly the way we asked ( flavorful and juicy) the desserts were amazing too!!

We went for the breakfast brunch the next morning because of the great experience from dinner and we are so happy we did!! The eggs Benedict were perfect, my youngest never finishes his plate but he ate those chocolate chip pancakes all up!!! Our server was the sweetest!

The dinner and breakfast prices are comparable to the free standing restaurants around town. We were served more food than we could finish! The atmosphere was welcoming. Simple but not understated, decorated beautifully for the season and the roaring fireplace completed the ambiance. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and the tables were well spaced.

I read some of the reviews and made a joke to my husband asking if we are at the same place that we read about. Whatever the difference between our experience and those before like new management or new staff, keep it up! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience !

My fiancé and I had a great dining experience at Kites! We thought the food was excellent and the portions were generous. The staff was very conscientious and accommodating to my dietary restrictions as well, which I very much appreciate.

food and drinks were fantastic!! service was great and our server Brianna was amazing! although a little too pricy, still a great meal and would recommend if staying at the resort.

Hope to cancel out most of the negative reviews here by saying food arrived promptly, food presentation was appealing, and waiter staff service was hospitable. I enjoyed a fine dining experience with a party of 9 in my table. Thank You Kites.

I read the reviews and cancelled my reservation, but when we got there owens pub had a wedding so we figured we would try it anyways. Everyone i was with thought the food was very good, came out fast, and our server was great. It was much much better than I had expected. I would definately return.
