Weston Elementary School

Weston Elementary School is amazing. Both of my children have attended Weston and I have nothing but great things to say. The faculty is caring, compassionate and kind. They all truly care about the students. We love the new principal, Mr. Russo! He is so much fun! If you watch News 12 NJ, you may have seen him dressed as Santa Claus, standing on the roof of Weston School throwing candy canes to the (very surprised) students on the day before Christmas break! He has also dressed up as the Grinch and visited each classroom! The kids adore him! Both of my children are on the Autism spectrum and have been in the special services program since starting school. I can tell you with absolute certainty that the special needs teachers in Weston Elementary are miracle workers. My oldest is higher functioning Asperger's and she had Mrs. Rutledge and Ms. Kas. Both teachers made a huge impact in my daughter's behavior, and learning. Mrs. Rutledge is a tough, but very caring, no-nonsense teacher that loves what she does, and shes amazing at it! Ms. Kas is also very kind and caring and takes a softer approach to teaching. My daughter loved Ms. Kas.
My son is more severe on spectrum and has Mrs. Randi for Kindergarten. Mrs. Randi should have her own review page because every person I speak to that has had a child in her class, have THE MOST AMAZING testimonials. I have no doubt in my mind that Mrs. Randi is going to do amazing things for my son. She already has him talking so much more! He loves school! There are also two very important aides in Mrs. Randi's class; Mrs. V and Ms. Megan. These two women are both amazing as well. Their kindness, compassion and love of what they do truly shows. My son loves them both. It's a great feeling knowing that I am sending my son to a trustworthy school every day. I was nervous at first because he is non-verbal but my nervousness was very quickly diminished. Weston school is a great school here in Manville. I highly recommend.
