Farm Barn Café

Update 04/27/2021

Due to the Pandemic, the cafe is only open from 11am to 2pm with outdoor seating only. Menu has changed. My friend and I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bowl, which was very fresh and delicious. Other friends ordered other items and said they were good too.

My previous review:

My family all loved the food here. Everything was fresh from farm to table. We always had our family Saturday or Sunday brunch here before we moved out of town. My husband and daughter’s most favorite meal was BLT. And it used to be my hangout place with friends.

Whenever there’s a chance, I would stop by and have lunch here again.

Miss eating here.

Amazing food service atmosphere 5/5 stars all across!!!

Went with my mom and my 3 kids. It was a beautiful place, even though my kids were tired pretty quickly. They loved the ice cream sandwich reward at the end of the walk though.

Their mac and cheese is so delicious, as is their chili. The chili is very well seasoned. We also had their autumn squash salad, which tasted delicious and very fresh

The prices are very reasonable considering they grow everything on site. I came with one other person and our total was around $25, with a salad, chili, and mac and cheese.

I definitely will be back for more! Everything was delicious and I really appreciated their recyclable paper bowls and plastic utensils.

Duke Farms Cafe, is absolutely beautiful. I love the bright sunny atmosphere! The food is excellent! Very fresh and delicious! A bit on the pricier side, but well worth it. They have a great variety of chips and beverages as well as healthier options for those watching what they eat. Staff is friendly and helpful as well! Give Duke Farms Cafe a try next time you're visiting beautiful Duke Farms! You wont be disappointed.

It is big, bright, clean, and eco-friendly. They have utensils that are compostable and they clearly work very hard to make it a clean and inviting place. They sell some high quality goods and they have a nice menu of delicious fresh fare. The tables all have beautiful flowers on them and you can even eat at the tables outside. We got a yummy smoothie with our meal and enjoyed eating in the outside area, surrounded by flowers.

The Cafe really bookends a trip to Duke Farms... You could arrive early for breakfast before taking your walk or bike ride through the park. If you time it right, you'll be back to the Cafe for a well earned lunch.
The menu has been updated recently, so not so scattered. My new favorite is the Avocado and Tomato sandwich. Comes with arugula and pickled onions, but I have them skip the arugula. Special orders do not upset them.
Good selection of drinks, including coffees, and if you aren't there for a meal there's always plenty of baked goods or sweet/salty stuff for snacking.
Staff has always been friendly, as with all the staff at the Farm. So what are you waiting for?

After a 3 mile walk around the park, sitting in the shady tent area of the Cafe is a perfect way to cool down with a light breakfast (or lunch!)
I love the Brioche toast with ricotta, seasonal fruits, & drizzled with honey.

Great, healthful lunches: sandwiches, soups and salads in an environmentally friendly building... Complete with compostable forks and great coffee. There's a large indoor dining room that's light and airy and also outdoor seating in warmer weather.

Good food and drink at a beautiful location with a strong focus on sustainability. Prices are normal for the organic, fair trade coffee shop type feel but but high compared to your average cafe - in short, fair prices and delicious food but with lots of kids we typically bring some and buy some. Byo lunches are welcome and there plenty of seating and water bottle refill stations.

Bright, open space in a LEED certified building. Exceptional avocado and green bean salad;sandwiches were good, but predictable. Very nice place to grab a bite after exploring the beautiful Duke Farms grounds.

Good lunch, Many choices. The chicken salad with cranberries wrap was delicious. Roast beef and cheddar on rye was also good. It is a nice, clean place.

Great place for a casual lunch and conversation. You could spend all day there talking or taking a walk or bike ride through beautiful nature reserve. Just remember the cafe is closed on Wednesdays. Oh they have great breakfasts too.

Good food and great place to take the kids to grab a bite before or after touring the trails. Fresh filtered water available to refill your bottles in several locations inside, which is very convenient.

Delightful cafe with some excellent healthy choices

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We got the Turkey and Brie sandwich and the Grilled cheese with bacon. Will definitely go again!
