Mary Ellis Burial Site

Mary Ellis cemetary was totally unexpected history. In the back of AMC theater of New Brunswick.

Unique thing in NJ to check out. Mary Ellis was a fierce feminist in New Brunswick. A total of 8 people are buried here.

I remember coming to this location with my parents when I was a kid back in the late 1970s. There used to be a huge indoor flea market here where I bought old records and my first bottle of sriracha sauce...outside of the Asian community I don't think most people had even heard of sriracha back then and you certainly couldn't get it in a regular supermarket! I remember this little cemetery plot in the middle of the parking lot and thought it was very odd. I don't remember it being at a different grade than its surroundings, though...that must have happened when they put in the theatre (sometime in the 90s, I believe.) So ironic that this is all that survives of what I remember of the place.

This is so sick \m/ I was so jazzed about seeing this. Leave flowers if you go!
