The Hoffman Hill Cemetery dates from the early 1700s and is named for the Hoffman family many of whom are buried here. However the Hoffmanns are not the earliest family to be buried here, those would be the Perrines, an early family that first settled in Staten Island and moved to this part of NJ in the early 1700s. There is also at least one veteran of the Revolutionary War buried here.
