Adam Sklar is a great attorney who has been handling adoptions for years. He takes the time to educate his clients on the process and will level-set expectations.
Unfortunately Adam cannot hand select most of the birth parents who come to him and those saying 'he will sabotage your adoption so he can keep making money off you' are simply not telling the truth. His fee is fixed despite how many birth parents you might work with over your journey. Keeping a client around longer only costs him more money. His objective is to find you a good placement as quickly as possible. Unfortunately some birth parents are on drugs and others know how to game the system. This is the nature of the beast when dealing with someone who might not want to or legally cannot keep their child. Adam will walk you through the entire process and will always have your back ethically and financially.
Adam is extremely responsive and always available. I would look at the grammar of the people writing negative reviews. His clientele are not those people. You can trust Adam to get you through this process better than any agency can.

Adam is amazing! I can not believe how much work he put into making sure my adoption was successful. Adam was available night and day. He would respond to texts at 3:30am and at 7am. He worked on my case while I slept. He has connections with social workers and other adoption attorneys all over the country. Adam said I would probably adopt a baby within a year. Well, two weeks after my adoption website was published, I adopted a baby!!! I still can’t believe it. (I know this is very unusual and the typical wait is one year so please don’t use my case as the standard but wow that was fast).

I’m a single mom by choice and never thought I would be able to adopt a newborn baby boy who is perfectly healthy. Adam made it happen! First of all, I’d like to say that our case was exceedingly unique and presented challenges that not every adoption has. Adam was always clear and concise In what we were to expect from our experience in the adoption process. It was challenging and emotional but Adam always kept it real. I would give Adam the highest rating. If I could give 10 stars, I would. We had a difficult case, with several attorneys before Adam. We were being treated very poorly, and we actually were recommended by another attorney to Adam. She told us he was the one we needed. She was right! This guy is a bad attorney. My close friend found a family to place her child up for adoption to and they were getting close and all was going well. She thought she found the perfect family, well the adoptive parents and her would talk a few times a week and were seemingly close so she was finally at ease that her plan had come together and that she could be at peace with her decision. She scheduled a visit to meet the adoptive family and Mr Sklar came up with some crazy story about how my friend needed her birth certificate AND the fathers birth certificate BOTH because it’s common that biological parents in their state are typically related to each other and that his client (the adoptive parents) should not speak to her unless she had her birth certificate within 2 days. (She would have had to order it from out of state) father had his and they were together and in agreement with the adoption, Anyway this attorney asked this AFTER he had all the medical records, releases, etc etc. (not days after, we are talking months later) And not to mention he lost her “file” three times and required her to send in more paperwork, at this point she was really close to delivering. And also this was AFTER she formed a relationship with the family for quite awhile this wasn’t in the beginning. She ended up panicking as she was due to have the baby at this point very soon, so after she had the baby she tried reaching the adoptive mother a few times then she left the baby at the hospital and the baby is now in state care. But he ruined a perfectly good adoption and for what reason?? My friend still isn’t the same, it has truly effected her in a negative way. And to this day there has been no real answers as to why this happened. My friend has since spoken to many people including other attorneys who have also found this situation strange and have never heard of this happening. So please be careful with this guy.

He's a bad attorney he will lie and intentionally sabotage your adoption so he can keep working for you and keep making money off you. He pushed the family away and made our adoption fall through

The worse attorney ever ,he's a lier no help makes you do all the work and takes your money. He would lie to all the way threw Adoption and screw you in the end. And failed Adoption

This guy is unethical. Don't trust him
