King's Chinese

I recently tried King's Chinese Restaurant in Freehold, and overall, it was a good experience. We ordered take-out, and the restaurant was packed with people picking up their orders. Despite the crowds, the food was ready to go and lined up for take-out.

We ordered several dishes, and I was impressed with the amount of food we got. The portions were generous, and it felt like we got a lot of value for our money.

The Egg Foo Young was good, but could have used a bit more salt to enhance the flavor. The Five Flavored Shrimp was a little too spicy for our liking, even though we had requested it to be less spicy. The Egg Roll was a standout - it was big and juicy, and we could tell that it was made with care. The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious and spicy, just the way we like it. Lastly, the Singapore Chow Mei Fun was good.

Overall, I would give King's Chinese Restaurant 4 1/2 stars out of 5. The only reason being that the Five Flavored Shrimp was much spicier than we had anticipated, even though we had requested less spicy. But, again, this is a personal preference. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for Chinese food in Freehold.

Really, really good Chinese food. Family owned and the service was amazing. Ribs, wonton soup, fried rice and egg rolls are amazing. Heard it gets really busy (I can see why) we went to avoid the crowds around 4pm on a Saturday. It's a must try.

I started going to this place when they first opened up almost 40 years ago. I no longer live in NJ but when I come to visit I always eat here. They have the best Chinese food around. This is a family owned establishment and a few things have changed over the years and decades but everything is as good now as it was back then. I highly recommend. Great portion sizes lots of options very friendly staff and family. A+++

I love this restaurant, however, my friend said their prices are very high. Chinese food should not be so expensive. Time to look elsewhere

Outstanding restaurant, Freddy's ribs were the best ribs in NJ. Meat was delicious and fell off the bone. Dim sum was excellent as well as our lunch dishes. Food was hot and plentiful. Freddy pays close attention to his customers, drove 40 minutes to Kings, well worth the ride. Will be back soon!

Kings is the beat Chinese food I've ever had. Freehold isn't close, but we consistently drive there for wat-in or takeout. Quality and flavor is great. The staff is friendly. The place has a nice atmosphere for eating at. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely delicious Chinese food! You can never go wrong at King’s. This is a small restaurant that’s been a staple in Freehold forever!!!! Way back in the day, it started as tiny take-out only; the authentic, fresh and divinely tasty dishes became so popular that customer demand warranted this tiny take out’s expansion to a small restaurant. This is a family owned business (one and the same owner from the very beginning) demonstrating tremendous pride in their business. One of the proprietors makes the daily commute to the Freehold restaurant from his home in Queens, NY. On his commute, he stops at New York’s fresh fish and seafood markets to pick up King’s catch of the day.

Went for the first time with my family. Excellent experience! Freddy takes the time to know his customers and what they like! Food was fantastic! We will definitely become regulars!

I was with a friend and based on a quick Google maps search because I was in the area (I'm from bergen County had to come down here to visit someone) we decided on Chinese. The food quality is by far and away nothing compared to what I get around my area. It's a little pricey but really not by much because you get what you pay for in all honesty; the portions are larger. Ordered shrimp fried rice that actually came with large sized shrimp compared to what I get my me are literally 3/4", at this place they were 1-1/2". Massive shrimp. Highly reccomend the chicken entrees and the hot and sour soup to get started.

Great food! Loved the charred flavor in the veg lomein.

Ordered the spicy garlic chicken and shrimp lomein lunch combination specials. The soups were delicious, best egggdrop wanton around. All fresh ingredients, everytime. This is NOT your typical greasy Chinese food take-out.

They have the best sweet n spicy soup I ever tasted. Their food is much fresher n better tasting than most chinese places in Monmouth County

By far the best Chinese food I ever had in New Jersey, the beef chow fun was outstanding, the beef was tender, the noodles were were perfectly cooked and the dish was delicious. The wonton soup and egg roll are awesome as well. The man who took my order was as nice as can be . Can’t wait to return!

First time trying Kings Chinese it was recommended by a friend I enjoyed the food and would definitely try it again. I did take out

Really outstanding Chinese food. One of the best you'll find without having to go up to Chinatown. I especially like the tomato soup but the entrees are so good it's hard to choose a favorite. And the service tops it off. The friendliest restaurant in town.

I was there last night with my wife and a great friend and his Mom.
The food is awesome. The spare ribs are delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Since my friend knows the owner, he made a special dish for me.
I know where I'm going to eat Chinese in Freehold. KING'S !

I have gotten takeout here for the last few years. The food is mainly cantonese style- not spicy. It's what I grew up eating. The quality is good and the staff is friendly. Just had a great lobster in black bean sauce. Their egg rolls, egg foo yong, spare ribs, egg drop and wonton soup are all very good. Shrimp in lobster sauce and lobster cantonese are fine.
