Millhurst Mills & Ace Hardware

I had a really great visit here recently. I wasn't going to go back because of poor service I had received in the past, and was planning on going to Lowe's, but my neighbor mentioned to me that management brought in new people and to give them another try. A very nice lady at the front desk greeted me and gave me some freshly popped popcorn, which was quite good, and then found a paint department employee who was down an aisle cleaning shelves to assist me. The paint lady that helped me answered all of my questions and took her time with me and really knew her stuff and she was as friendly and nice as could be. It's really not a big hardware store, not sure why they say they are an Ace hardware store still, but for home improvement projects, from a couple of gallons of paint to some new doors and windows to flooring or lumber or a new kitchen or bathroom, this place has it all. Really quite impressive. They just need to hire a marketing person to let the community know they are there and all the things they have.

I went to the Ace Hardware side of the store to buy drywall screws and anchors. I was purposely avoiding the big box stores because help is not available. The man that helped me here was great. A true professional. He took the time to understand the project and find the correct items. Totally worth the trip.

We have used Krystina many times for helping us pick out flooring and paint colors. She is very knowledgeable and a super sweet person. I highly recommend consulting with her for all of your design needs!

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff! Manny (not sure of the spelling) cut two motorcycle keys for me for free. I had the key blanks already.

I will be back for future home improvement needs.

He spent so much time with my husband and I explaining different types of wood products and decking. He really knew his stuff which we really appreciated and the prices were so much cheaper that Home Depot! Definitely worth a trip!

The best prices available anywhere, these guys deal with a lot of closeouts. I just renovated my house and saved around 45-50% on all building materials. They have flooring, tiles, vanities, molding, doors, tubs, toilets, and anything you can think of in mind when it comes to home improvement. Check them out, they can probably save you thousands on remodeling and have in house kitchen designers that are very knowledgeable and usually promise to beat any price. Excellent small business model.

no need to ever go back to Lowes or Home depot again. They have everything you need as a home owner. Service, inventory, quality and price exceeded all expectations....I am a customer for life!

Great place for purchasing bulk lumber as well as anything needed to finish a home. I save more than 50% on mouldings compared to the bug box stores. It's worth the 45 minute drive to save big $

Karen Barnes and Karen G. at Millhurst Mills. Karen B. worked with us from picking out cabinets for our new bathroom to ordering and delivery. She was incredibly helpful and knew what customization's could and could not be done, gave good ideas for the design, and knew exactly what to order after all the back and forth changes.

SERVICE:
I can say if you are not a contractor or know exactly what you want the place can be intimidating a bit. The negative reviews on Google I can only assume are from people who either didn't know what they wanted or had no experience other than HD or Lowes.

COST:
The prices simply could not be beat by anyone, especially from Lowes or HD. From doing contracting years ago I was able to price out our entire master bathroom remodel as a contractor and I can honestly say, aside form the labor costs, we saved about $1000 dollars going here rather than having a kitchens & bath shop do the job....and that's just the savings on the cabinets!

At the end of the day, the wife is happy and the bathroom looks beautiful so it was a positive experience all around.

5 stars as always for the team at Millhurst. We have been purchasing all our trim and doors from them for a long time. Service and prices are the best in Monmouth County.

I love the staff at this place. Not only are they super friendly but really know their stuff. I had to buy some deck stain and the staff member gave some really good pointers on how to apply it. Too bad they aren’t closer to where I live.

My bathroom came out beautiful! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. They really listened to what I wanted and gave me plenty of options without pressure. Thank you Millhurst Mills!
