Wow! Amazing food and cocktails. The prices are also very reasonable for the food and drinks you get. Will be returning back to this spot over and over and over again.

Recommendation for management:
Because the menu is so large it would be great to get images of the dishes with their names. By doing this you will have more people trying different things and have more reasons to return. Maybe put the images on Google maps or a website.

As a Peruvian I can say that all their food is amazing and authentic! The papa a la huancaina and anticuchos are a must have! The ceviche is very good and fresh and the lomo saltado was perfectly made. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area 😊

This was our first time at Don Pepe but not our last. There is a huge menu which includes many Peruvian specialties. Our lovely young waitress was delighted to describe these dishes in detail and after listening to any of our food preferences, made several recommendations. We ordered a variety of main courses and all four in our party were delighted with their choice. Portions are huge - my husband and I each took home enough for another meal. We did not drink that night but I looked at the drink menu which had a variety of Peruvian specialties along with the more common choices one might find and prices were very reasonable. There is a friendly, family atmosphere. On a Sunday night it was very busy so suggest making reservations.

After trying Pollo a la Brasa in different states. I can say now this is the best Pollo a la Brasa into the US. 100% Recommended.

Had the Submarino don pepe (calamares fritos, ceviche de pescado y arroz con mariscos o chaufa de mariscos) which is Fried calamari, fish cooked in lime juice & Peruvian paella w/ mix seafood or seafood fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. According to our server, it appears the paella and the seafood fried rice is the same thing 🤷‍♂, so there wasn’t an option but I’m not complaining as the seafood fried rice, as it seemed to me, was fantastic. The fried calamari had a very crispy breading and was also very tender. We also had the fried yucca (forgot to take a pic of the sauces that were placed on the table) which went extremely well with the creamy jalapeño sauce. The ceviche was soooo good and learned it was tilapia, not my favorite, but in this case I became an instant fan with this preparation. The place looks like a whole in the wall but don’t let that fool you, this is a diamond in the rough. Service was good, prices were fair and the food was excellent, I will go back!

Outstanding service and food!! Probably the best Peruvian restaurant in the central Jersey area. Would recommend to any lover of Peruvian food or someone who is interested in trying it for the first time.

I love going here!!! The new location in Jamesburg opened on February 11.

They have a full bar, plenty of seating, and you can do takeout. Parking is a quick right into the parking lot at the back of the restaurant. To enter and exit is one way.
It's wheel chair accessible at the side entrance.

It looked like 1 small area for private events. I did ask if the establishment could be rented out for private events, but the staff was unsure.
The food is fresh, and I've never received a bad dish.
There are bathrooms towards the back of the restaurant.
Happy hour is Tuesday & Thursday's from 3 p.m. -6 p.m.

Be patient and kind to them as they are adjusting to this big, wonderful change. I wish them the best and much business. In my opinion they have the best Peruvian food in Central, NJ.

Wow!! I truly recommend this place...food was great, cocktails great, and service great.. me and my wife had Rita the Margaritas as well as the white sangria for cocktails, the guacamole with tostones for appetizers, and for entree we shared an arroz chauffa de marisco! We are definitely coming back..We are Cuban and Dominican, but we love Peruvian food as well..this peruvian restaurant tops the rest we have been too by far..Also super Clean place and ambience really relaxing and enjoying! Come and enjoy!

They have some great lunch specials like the roast pork. The ceviche from the dinner menu with three different sauces is really fun and tasty. Generous portions. Amazing plantains as well.

I have not had the chance to come here for a sit down meal. But the food is good! I have been looking for Peruvian chicken for the longest time! Especially in Central Jersey! The price is worth it. And their chicken is not dry at all!
