JSHY is seriously the best hot yoga studio around. I’ve been practicing there for over 13 years and I’ve seen my share of hot yoga studios come and go. None compare to JSHY in its energy, atmosphere, and community. Located blocks from the beach, the studio exudes an unpretentious laid back vibe where the instructors are chill, creative, and challenging. You’ll leave class with a relaxed mind and energized body.

It's hard to satisfactorily describe what this place has done for me for the past ten years. First of all, I came here as a complete beginner and quickly learned that this style of yoga is infinitely challenging but could always be done exactly at the level you're currently at. I showed up and there were people there like myself that couldn't do many of the poses to an advanced expression, and there were also people there that were very advanced. But the teachers always showed me what I needed to do now, at this point in my practice to continue to grow and gain strength, flexibility, and awareness. I've been going there for ten years, and have only continued to improve and grow with my practice, there's always somewhere new to go, and you're always able to do the practice at a level that is appropriate and right for you at this moment. So I've never felt overwhelmed and at the same time I've never bottomed out and felt like I was stagnating. It's literally the only kind of physical activity I've done that I can say this about.

Second of all, it's pure FUN!! Really uplifting, makes you feel great. Makes you feel great in your daily life, it's had so many subtle effects to my underlying thought process, all I can say is it makes me a happier, more fulfilled, more confidant and effective person. Because it's not just a physical practice but a mental practice, and it really changes your outlook on how to meet challenges in life, it's a model for progressing in anything you do. I'm sure that sounds raving, but practicing here has just had such an impact on my life, and I won't ever stop. I'm going to be doing headstands and backbends when I'm 90! And am just so glad to have met all these wonderful people to study with.

This is by far my FAVORITE yoga studio out there 💖 it's a unique gem with incredible yoga instructors. I highly recommend the dharma classes especially! Jersey Shore Hot Yoga will forever hold a very special place in my heart since it helped me conquer through some pretty dark times.🕉
