Acropolis Cafe Restaurant

The Acropolis is a 5-star dining establishment posing as a down home country diner. Everything thing about our breakfast experience was top notch. First thing, the food. Large portions, small prices, authentic and delicous, Attractive decor, friendly andprofessional staff, relaxed atmosphere, you cant ask for more for breakfast.
. Since all tables were full we sat at the bar and were lucky enough to be near the grill where we watched the seasoned owner artfully create orders. He introduced himself to us and ended up being the highlight of our time here. Andreas was a pleasure to talk with and watch. Our waitress was fast, friendly and organized. We are here for two days and will be back tomorrow morning

Affordable little place that's been here for awhile. The food is cooked with love and always hits the spot. It was nice out the day I went so I utilized their outdoor seating area to eat outside. If you're in town looking for an affordable delicious breakfast/lunch look no further!

Experienced a wonderful sunrise today in Belmar and then went to the Acropolis Restaurant on Main Street for a fabulous breakfast. Well Rich had breakfast as he ordered the hungry man breakfast while I could no resist having the Gyro. Rich was so jealous of my gyro that he stated lets come back for lunch before even finishing his breakfast! His breakfast was delicious too. Michelle our waitress is the perfect textbook picture of what every restaurant owner hopes for. Happy and chipper first thing in the morning to every single person who walks in. She knew exactly when to ask how you liked your food, if you wanted more coffee etc. Everyone here is so welcoming and they all make you feel like family immediately. Social distancing is perfect, they sanitize in between each customer, they supply a bottle on the table for your comfort and every other table and counter stools are marked as not to be used. They had ceiling fans going and the front door open for extra ventilation. And as before inside dining opened up, they continue to have outdoor seating as well. I moved here 20 years ago and they were here, they remain to this day and you will know why once you eat here. Fantastic family run business with great staff, extremely fair prices, and the nostalgia of an old world greek cafe. Cannot wait to go back and it appears we will be dong that for lunch today :) Wonderful experience. Latest news 7/2022 Andy has brought in t shirts! Support local business... We adore this place

Fantastic and delicious diner experience in Belmar with comfortable outdoor seating and friendly staff. It's the kind of restaurant where you feel like you would eventually befriend the owner and get to know everyone who works there as you become a regular. If I lived in Belmar, I'd be here very often.

Great food! They have varieties of food selection and very affordable and to top of is less than a mile by the beach.. Awesome place and customer service. I'd recommend to check out this place if you're near by.

Great place to stop in for a quick bite. We came at 6am on a Sunday and there were already quite a few people. The food came out great and was perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent food. The chef was extremely polite. I was happy with everything. I wish them more business. Definitely appreciate the service and the food.

We had a very positive experience. We dined outside, which was pleasant. The staff was attentive enough without being overbearing. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, and some could not finish thier servings. No one left hungry due to portioning. My biggest concern is that it can get crowded. It is obviously popular enough that getting a table at certain hours can be a challenge.

Great food. Friendly staff. It is an old place so somewhat warm inside since it seems the AC can’t keep up on a hot day. But worth enduring for the food!

Excellent place to get a bite to eat. The service is friendly and exceptional. The food has that home cooked taste probably due to the owner cooking as well. They definitely take pride in their establishment. I highly recommend

Old School Greek Diner. I sat at the counter my breakfast was FAB! Corned Beef Hash Eggs Up Homie Spuds Black Pepper and Tabasco side of Rye. Simple but really was great and made right! One would be surprised how such a diner staple can get f'ed up in at other establishments. Michelle was my waitress very pleasant happy and friendly. I was there about 8 am it's now 1230 I'm I'm still satisfied with out the urge for lunch.
I noticed the rotisserie spit with Gyro Meat. Another visit will happen in the near future for the Gyro Fix! I believe open daily till 230 p.m. worth the visit and support of the locals. Especially after summer.

Wonderful local diner that is truly the place to go to if you're looking to get a deliciously filling breakfast. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and their food is consistently fantastic. The only thing you have to worry yourself over is trying to decide what it is that you want to eat!

Great food and quick friendly service. We always have a great experience there and the food is excellent. Prices are reasonable especially if you get something from the daily specials menu.

Walked in, felt like an old time luncheonette. Was greeted with a smile.
Place was slammed. Was seated within two minutes.
Menus are typical Jersey diner menus, albeit abbreviated. But enough on there for anyone to find something.
I ended up getting a burger. Fresh and hand packed. Lettuce was clean and crisp. Tomatoe slices (two thick ones) were red and juicy. It was just short of amazing. And it was not the fault of the place. It was breakfast time so the grills are set at 350° max, vs lunch when they go to 375°. Can get that perfect sear at that temp. Otherwise, fabulous. Coleslaw was outstanding, fine chopped through the buffalo chipper, and just the right amount of sugar. Everything I saw come out of that open kitchen was generously portioned.
Service was super friendly, prompt, extremely attentive, and never made me feel rushed.
Would definitely recommend to ANYONE. Especially those on vacation wanting great food at fair prices, go there. Try the specials.

This little hole in the wall is easily one of the best restaurants in the area. Super good food, great staff, great menu, great prices. You won't regret coming here . This diner is a staple of the town .

Good covid measures, I felt safe eating outside there. Husband said it was the best Gyro he ever had...I can't complain either bc the grilled cheese I ordered was absolutely perfect in every way.

Best breakfast ever. Perfect eggs over easy sausage and hash browns. Perfect service. Coffee never ran out. Beautiful flowers out front with real cafe feel.
