The Columns

We were recently here for a wedding and fell in love with Columns itself! The staff was great... very attentive and welcoming. The food was great... we had a buffet style dinner service. The decor of the area where we were was stunning. And right across the street from the beach!

Nicole our server was AWESOME ON POINT, she had cute earrings. I got the bacon wrapped scallops which I go for every year I feel like they should be adding more than 4. Like 6 would be nice.. the coconut shrimp. Had way more.. very yummy along with a lobster roll. Would have been nice if they had options over than French fries. They should ask if we want butter on the side with our roll and lemon. For the flavor of it all. Got the balcony view. Very lovely you can feel the old hotel vibes when you walk through to the bathroom.. along with the ambiance and plants.. love coming here along with the watermelon mojito on the side. Long time ago circa 1986. I visited that club and it was not busy at all.The band on Sunday was fantastic playing a mix of oldies and rock and roll. I approached the manager and told him I will make this place packed inside a month it's that good. Needless to say there were lines out the door down the block within a month. For the next year or so I was treated very well if you know what I mean.This was way before the net and social media by the way. Nowadays I don't bother with social media whatsoever and I am not sure how much this place has changed but I hope not by much.

Go here (especially in the summer months) a few times a month to see live bands and eat. The food is delicious with a lot of variety. Love the decor and the people. Loved it so much, I booked my wedding here, it was on the beach with a beautiful set up, great food and an amazing dance floor with awesome lighting and great stage.

Fabulous old-style seafood restaurant in Avon. Our lobster and lobster roll were fantastic. Great views and awesome outdoor seating on the porch. Reasonable prices, especially for lunch.

Great place by the beach. Awesome live music and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the rigatoni vodka.

Great family place on a Thursday for lobsterpaluzza... great environment for everyone !! It's fun, there is music, lots of laughter, great food and cold drinks !!! Can't beat the beach view either. 😎

Amazing beach side restaurant, bar and live music with dance floor.. if u r a party animal or otherwise, this place is for you..

Especially, the greeters, valet staff and workers standing at the front door!!! Thank You All for helping an “older couple” ,with a walker and not too steady, to go up the front steps and down again and safely get us to and from our car!!!! Very Jersey shore atmosphere, simple, view to the ocean if you sit outside, good food, popular any time of the day. Music is loud inside(to be expected), people are dancing and having fun. Waitresses are attentive and fast.

Great place for an afternoon beer and an appetizer! Amazing view! Cool breeze off the ocean on a hot day just can't be beat! Food was fantastic and the beer / soda was cold and refreshing!

great place, we ate at 5 pm on Saturday so it was just appetizers but it was all good food, not fancy of course for the type of place but it’s fast, good service and lovely overall, ocean views, live music.

Great porch seating with ocean views! Inside is very loud. Food comes out hot & is served quick. Don't skip Thursday lobster night!

This is my favor spot down at the Jersey shore, friendly people and good drinks, lots of other places to explore.

In terms of nightlife this place is 10x better than it’s counterpart the Parker house in Avon. No sweaty basement, no waiting 5 hours in line, and can actually stay open past midnight.

Great variety of good food. Nice atmosphere. Seated very timely on an extremely busy night, live music - packed.... music is always way too loud! When will band members ever figure that out! We are all not that hearing impaired..... you can't even have conversations, very happy to be seated outside.

What an awesome place. The seafood 🦞 is fresh and very delicious. The servers, hostesses and everyone on the staff team is so nice and professional, we felt like our every need was accommodated. Kristin our server was on top of everything and just had a pleasant vibe about her. Definitely check this place out for fresh seafood by the ocean. We had a very disappointing experience next door at Avon Pavilion where the staff very unprofessional, they can take a page from this gem’s 💎 book.

Our waiter badly could no have been more attentive.. theobster bisque was outstanding as was the mixed salad with very crispy bacon.we couldn't finish the shrimp scallops with pasta. Delicious crab cake. Will go back.
