About 2 weeks ago, my husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot, and we came across this quaint breakfast/ice cream establishment.
Our service was exceptional. Our server Shay was very attentive to our needs.
Our meals were cooked to order, hot and appealing to the senses.
My husband had the blueberry pancakes + bacon and I had an egg white omelet w/turkey sausage and veggies! OMG Delicious!!

We both had omelets on our second visit and they didn't disappoint. We sat outside on both visits, which was very comfortable, beautiful garden atmosphere!

So come hungry, we plan on returning. We found our new breakfast spot!

This is one of the true treasures of Ocean Grove. The best breakfast in Ocean Grove. Great staff and lovely outdoor seating. I fell in love with this place a long time ago. Arnold is the best! We love the outdoor tables by the windows overlooking the "Greek" garden.

The crumb cake , and banana walnut pancakes were good. You had a choice of short stack (2) or large stack (3). The crumb cake reminded me of eating a crumb cake with a crunch, with a good cup of coffee. Excellent service. Nice patio set up for warmer weather.

Had a delicious crispy cod wrap and side salad and finished off with Lemoncello cake. A cute atmosphere and attentive service.

Wonderful breakfast. Outdoor Terrace was Charming, had fans and shutters to block the Sun. Staff was friendly, warm smiles. The breakfast was the best. I will recommend this place to anybody going to Ocean Grove in the morning. We secure the parking spot by 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and set out to find a breakfast spot. This place came recommended buy a Ocean Grove beach staff member. And did not disappoint.

A staple of the Ocean Grove community, the food is good and the experience always leaves me in a better mood. I like the crab cake sandwich, the breakfast burrito and the Starving Artist breakfast. Arnold is welcoming and funny. His staff is always great! Waits can be a little long if you arrive at peak times on season. Inside seating is charming. Outside seating is a treat. Enjoy!

We enjoyed a recent visit to Ocean Grove, and we went to a number of restaurants. We only went to one restaurant twice: Starving Artist. Great food, and excellent staff. When I opted out of having potatoes, I was immediately offered greens or fruit as replacement. The omelets were delicious (maybe too big!) Will go again when we return to OG.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. The deep covered walkway leading to the rear entrance was lit with colorful holiday lights...festive! The rear room sports some really long wooden tables...gives it a cozy rustic feel. We dined in the front room...clean, simple, comfortable. Soft holiday music was warming. Grilled chicken sandwich was tender with a nice soft roll. Crab cakes were tasty, as were the fish & chips. All dishes we enjoyed came with a pile of fries. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive and courteous. Wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, soups and seafood dishes. We've dined here for lunch in season and during the off season...haven't been disappointed. It just feels good to be there!

I am trans/lgbtq. The starving artist and it's staff embrace everyone who isn't intolerant. The food is excellent and you can tell it's prepared by people that enjoy making food. The servers are responsive and polite. And the atmosphere? Well it's one of my favorite places to go because it has an inner and outer Garden that is impressive and really sets the energy for the place

The food was great, and the portion was very generous. the price was also surprisingly reasonable in 2023 when inflation was high and everything was charged twice as much as before covid. the atmosphere was friendly and the waiter was kind and funny. We had a great time trying for the first time. but our friends who live there go every day. Must be a good place for locals to frequent that often. we will go back for sure.

First time here and loved it! We sat outside on the porch and it was beautiful. Staff was so pleasant and attentive. Tomato spinach quiche and salad were delicious, as were the eggs with sausage and homefires. Fresh brewed iced tea. Definitely returning!

The friendliest sweetest most patient waitress. I got the coffee crumb pancakes and it was so superb! Prices were very good.

A sweet place in Ocean Grove with a nice atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the owner.
The food was amazing, especially the fries and our waitress was ok. The reason I gave 2 stars on Service was because 3 times, the hostess, manager, or owner's assistant (I'm not sure of her title), displayed rude behavior.
First, she seemed belittling and insistent about using the QR code menu when my phone wasn't working. Another time, I was shocked when she waved my request off. I tried not to let her attitude set a tone for my experience but it happened 3x:(.
Since the food, setting, and manager were great, I'll return and give them one more chance.

The breakfast here was incredible, really good service and overall just a good vibe.

Unexpected gem! Inexpensive and delicious. Good variety on menu and big portions. Food took longer than expected but was worth it.

Loved the atmosphere in the restaurant as well as the town of Ocean Grove. My salad was delicious and the waitress was friendly and with it!
