such a lovely place! clean and nice design of their interior. customer service is great. The pie with side dishes were good too. the best part is they have nice big table that you can sit and eat comfortably!

Delightful British pie shop focused on the savory, but don't overlook the sweet pies! Located on one of several pretty, manicured streets in Ocean Grove's heart. The shop put out a few tables at an appropriate distance for eating there, but at this point most of the business is takeaway. The standard meat pies are available, but Burblemaier's specializes in more interesting fillings for what amounts to a puff pastry shell: the spicy, moist beef rendang was a big hit, as was a chicken tikka pie shaped more like an empanada. The best of the three savories tried was the lamb, very well spiced but balanced to let the lamb shine. This was also curry week, just to give a sense of the range of fillings -- well over a dozen -- any given visit. For a dessert pie, which we ate later (the shop hands out reheating instructions for takeaway orders), we devoured the rich, sweet Jersey blueberry pie.

One pie is plenty for lunch, and splitting a dessert pie makes all the sense. The prices are reasonable given the care put into each pie and how densely packed each one is filled. Make a plan to walk over if you are staying beachside in Ocean Grove or even Asbury Park.

Always such a great experience at Burbelmaiers! Have been going since they opened a while ago! The staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming. Everything is homemade and fresh! Amazing pies and the best mash potatoes you will ever have! Stop in to get a pie to go or dine outside! Frozen pies also available to save for later :)

Have stopped in before, but this was the first time I stopped to eat. The frittata was awesome, my sister had the full Monty side with a beef and mushroom pie, and my cousin had the gf curry pie. For three very picky eaters, this place was fantastic. Fast, friendly service, the staff was eager and able to answer all our questions, as well as inviting us back for some off-season events. Definitely recommending to as many people as I can!

Delicious food, many options. Meat, vegetarian and even gluten free and vegan. Absolutely wonderful.

Pricey for the size, but worth it and filling. I loved the Traditional Pork Pie paired with their gravy, it was everything I wanted! I liked the Mushroom flavor as well. The onion and cheese was tasty, but I wish it also had something sturdier inside, like potato chunks. Show up early because they do sell out of the more interesting flavors!

After having lived in the UK for 25 years, who would have thought that the best scones I ever had (esp. the savory ones) - bar none - would be in Ocean Grove, NJ! Every pie, every scone, every sausage roll - is delicious and made with the utmost of care. The pork sausage in all their pork pies and sausage rolls are house made and of course the pastry is exquisitely flaky yet traditional. Their items are available online, and it has become a dangerous addiction, but I can't wait until I can drive down (yes, it's an hour), get them heated on the spot, sit by the ocean and nosh to my hearts content!

Delicious individual savory and sweet pies. I had the gluten free Shepard's pie and was tempted to buy a frozen four-pack to bring home with me. I didn't, but fortunately they ship! More pies are in my future. Can't wait. Yum.

One of the best places I have ever eaten. That’s not hyperbole, buddy. Service was awesome, place was super clean, and the pies? (Wipes a single from his eye) The pies……. You rarely encounter food like this, man. There is artistry in every bite, every corner of each pie, roll or scone. Run, don’t walk, and make sure you leave room for the second visit.

The mushroom pie and mashed pea side was so amazing! They have plenty of vegetarian and also meat options... great sides too... wholesome, homemade, healthier than your average fast food joint.

They didn’t have any vegan option when I was there, but I think they may have on other days.. if not, my only recommendation for the restaurant is to add vegan options to the menu.
Overall, really great lunch food though .. in an awesome location right near the beach.

We never leave Ocean Grove without stopping in. This last time we bought several pies and scones. One was a lamb pie, which my wife had for dinner the night we got home. I tried it (not a lamb fan), and we both agreed that it was incredible! P.S. the ginger mango scones are out of this world!

My whole family loves this place. Even my fiancé who is British and very picky about his savoury pies! He’s so happy to have a place nearby that he loves. They’ve got a daily selection of pies which look small but are super filling! There are usually options for vegans but make sure to get there early because they sell out early. I love that they use wooden cutlery to reduce plastic. You can sit at a table on the sidewalk or get pies to take away (we usually do the latter)!

Done right, great quality, so flavorful, clean, great atmosphere. They work so hard to prepare a perfect bite for you. You can't go wrong with any of their pies. Fresh local ingredients made with precision and pride. A MUST when visiting Ocean grove.

I have eaten a lot of meat pies in my day. Some of the best in New Zealand and Australia. But this place has one of the best pie crusts I have ever had. Not greasy and very light with a perfect bake. Absolutely delicious.

Cute shop with very friendly service! Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options — all look delicious! Our favorites so far are the savory scone with Stilton and black pepper and the GF pumpkin pie. We will be regulars here.

One of my favorite places to grab a bite on the Jersey Shore. I love their Scotch egg, Blue Piggie, and chicken and leek pies, but everything they make is delicious. I’m thankful I don’t live nearby or else I’d be there way too often!

don't miss this spot when you come through Ocean Grove or the surrounding area on the Jersey shore. You will be delighted at the small crusty pies that are served there I always get the chicken pot pie it's delicious. For desert I had the Spicy Cherry brownie so good.

I had the gluten free veggie korma and the gluten free mushroom and asparagus. Soo tasty and savory as they advertise. It's Soo good to have some different food at the shore that is super high quality and really delicious. Unfortunately they ran out of gluten free pumpkin pies , maybe next time I'm around the area I can get some!

Unbelievable Pies - we tried several of their pies - chicken tikka, pork, blueberry and a couple of their scones. Each was delicious. I live in Jersey City and won't mind driving all the way done just to try them again !
