Pleasantly surprised by this place!perfect quality/price balance if you just need a place to sleep for a couple of nights. Comfortably located next to bus station in a quite safe area just 10mins away from NYC, easy access and nice staff working here. Room and shared bathroom were spotless, and building quiet. Definitely recommended especially for solo travelers

I had a great time at Shefah Hotel. It was affordable, clean, and just minutes from Times Square. I loved the convenience of having a mini-fridge in my Shefah Hotel room. It made it easy for me to store leftovers and drinks to enjoy later.

Okay let me just say this place is perfect if you are wanting to just experience new York and New Jersey union city is very cute they have convenient stores and food! The bus takes you straight to Times Square and is a 20 min bus ride! For 3.50$ I loved staying here the guest was quiet and I was able to use the bathroom every time and didn’t have to wait there was a towel bar soap and shampoo conditioner in the room already for me. The tv and ac worked and the fridge kept everything really cold it was clean and I slept great no complaints I will be back

Great clean room, great location. One block from the shuttles that take you to Ny port authority for three dollars back and forth all day and night. The shared bathroom is shared with the whole floor, but it is very clean. Great value, will stay again.

Wonderful hotel at an affordable price point! Both locations are safe and quiet. The staff are always kind and attentive to guest's needs. As someone who is picky about cleanliness, I was happy with the condition of the rooms. You cannot beat the proximity to Manhattan-it is less than a 10 minute bus ride and you are in the heart of the city. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting, or if you are a professional transitioning into NYC for work. Highly recommend!

Great place for the price. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. We were less than a minute from the bus stop and 10 min to the city. The room was perfect for our group. The only issue was the sheets did not look like they were cleaned, which was disturbing. Other than that, nice, clean place.

Authentic city experience. Host was generous and helped me out in a pinch.
Clean, and comfy. These are small apartment rooms fyi. Would recommend for two people. Would not recommend for 3 dudes.

It's good for a quick stop for a last-minute trip or for backpackers who don't mind sharing shower accommodations. If you're looking for something more private for a longer visit to NY/NJ this might not be the best place for it, however, the place is clean and is incredibly close to NYC.

We were there for a couple of nights. The place was wonderful and clean. The host is really nice and accommodating. He was very nice during the whole process and made us feel very comfortable. My family and I would recommend this to anybody. It was a wonderful experience.

What a nice surprise! This room was a lot bigger than the pictures! The mattress on the bed was nice and firm and the linen very clean. The host was a pleasure to deal with and even went out of their way to accommodate our first floor request. Nice value for your money and you can't beat the proximity to NYC and the easy commute!

Kevin is very responsive and the place is clean and conveniently located. All is good except one thing -- bathroom is shared by more than 10 different rooms of guests! So during the day, the bathroom is occupied more than half of the time I checked.

This accommodation was as advertised. Kevin responds quickly and the person overseeing the property was polite and helpful. The street it's on is quiet and the shops and bus are very close. We caught either taxis or Uber home at night which got expensive but that was our choice to not use public transport! A good alternative to staying in Manhatten!

I have been staying at the She-fah for 2 weeks now and I've had a pretty good experience thus far. The room was clean and provided me with a TV, the AC, a mini fridge and a little extra storage on the wall. Unfortunately, before the end of my first week, there was a leak on the roof. However, I reached out to the staff and they came to check it out and offered to even help me move my belongings to another room to have the leak repaired. I was then moved to a much bigger room in their other location with the same amenities as before. Both buildings are quiet and not at all noisy.
It's a pretty convenient commute to the city, averaging about 20 mins with traffic since it's pretty close to Lincoln Tunnel. Also, so many buses pass by about 2-3 blocks away that it's easy to access other parts of Jersey as well.
The staff has been pretty helpful and responsive with any concern that I've had, which was really only the leak and moving to the other building. I would definitely recommend this place or use them again if I needed to.

The place is on a great location, the bus stop is right at the corner it costs $3.50 to take you to NYC and all of the buses dropped you off in Manhattan on 9th ave and 40th St. The place is clean, and quiet, there's a wallgreen pharmacy 4 min walking away where I got my covid vaccine. The hotel has 4 bathrooms and Kevin is a great host, he answered all my questions and was always willing to help me. My experience was amazing, highly recommend!!!!

Great place for professionals transitioning to the City for work! Close to the City ! It's easier than living in the city, some friends spend more time on the subway and live in Manhattan.
Clean rooms! I've been in the shared bathroom and it always felt like I was the only using it even though I know other guests where checked in. Now I have my own bathroom.
The team that works here are always pleasent. Sercure buildings too. A must for me, always
feel safe!

I just recently stayed at She-fah hotel and I honestly had a great time during my stay. Everyone was respectable and the people in charge stayed in contact with me when setting up my room as well as on my day of checking out. I’m from out of state but I definitely plan on staying here again if I return back to visit my friends/family in New Jersey again in the near future.

I can recommend Shefah Hotel, we spent a week there. The published information completely corresponds. The hotel is clean, in a quiet and safe area, and above all very well and quickly accessible from the center of NYC by bus almost from the hotel.

Very happy with the service at She-Fah hotel. Wasn't sure what to expect not having heard of them before, but is probably the best option I've found to stay in the NYC area at a decent rate. The rooms are better than hostels, check in/out was a breeze (key drop), rooms are clean and with all amenities. Requested a "Large" room, and was upgraded to "Studio" - complete with private bath, kitchenette. Water pressure was great, no end of hot water, air conditioner in room, TV in room, plenty of electrical outlets, free WiFi on the same floor.

Make sure you call to confirm your arrival time if you plan on arriving outside their office hours. They were easy to reach by phone while travelling, and very attentive throughout the entire booking process.

I was a bit skeptical of the low prices on Shefah Hotel's website, but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. The hotel exceeded my expectations and provided a great stay for an unbeatable price.
