Rambo's Country Store

Best butcher and deli in Hunterdon county!! Their meat is top notch!!! Plus the place is over 100 years old amazing place and great owner.

So today was my first time at Rambo's Contry Store, this place saved my life. i was doing a loop at Columbia Trail, very hot day no food and no water, it was great to find this store right next to the trail, they have everything, food, drinks, snacks no more packing for me when visiting Columbia Trail.
Very good sandwiches, great homemade burger & awesome people, It's like stepping back in time to the old general store. Its a must stop if you biking or hiking at Columbia Trail

Rambos, a place to step back in time and to enjoy the local small town feel but high quality products. These places are becoming more and more rare to find and enjoy. I enjoy coming here regularly for some of the best sandwiches around. My all time favorite is their Italian sub, but if that's not your thing, they will custom make you any sort of sandwich that you desire. Their daily soups and specials are great on those days when your just not sure what you want to eat but want some delicious. Their burgers made from beef they grind and prepare themselves are amazing. Just ask for a double burger with lettuce, tomato, and garlic powder, that's all you need! Their meat selection is some of the best around and their quality is not easily matched by any local grocery store's options and quality. They have also saved me several times when I am lacking something at home and need it quick, coffee filters, milk, or their Vanilla Extract from Grenada. The staff is very friendly and a pleasure doing business here.

Lovely, wonderful folks here. The food is excellent. Nice rustic, traditional but elegantly organized and upbeat. Everyone is so nice. Wonderful runs for roasts and grilling. You gotta check it out.

Stopped here after apple picking. Thought it would just be a snack and ended up with some great yummy sandwiches from the deli in the back. Its NOT a convenience store. Its a grocery a butcher a deli a coffee shop a lunch counter wrapped up into this 1888 built building. You'll find something here to satisfy your tastes.

Have been loyal to Rambo's since 1979...best Butcher, Grocery Store and Last Minute 'ready made' fresh and frozen Chicken pot pies, Pierogies, Raviolis.
Best cuts of meat, lamb chops, sandwich meats, and pick up veggies, fruits, and any last minute groceries. etc.

I've been coming here for over 50 years. Their breakfast sausage is simply the best! I live in Bethlehem, PA now and still take the hours drive to get some.

Very good sandwiches and a wonderful butcher. The prices can be from fair to high compared to a normal grocery store but worth every penny when you work with a qualified butcher. I've never been disappointed when purchasing meat here.

Hometown general store with friendly faces that are super helpful. Meat is great, and the prices are fair. If you are a local, Rambos is picking up the slack when it comes to groceries with no local supermarket. When in doubt, you can't beat one of their chuck burgers made to order!

New to the area and was so happy to find this gem!! Great quality meats, reasonable prices, and friendly staff!! Will definitely become a regular stop for me!

I can not praise Rambo's enough! I have lived in the area for 15 years now and I go there for all my cold cuts and butchered meats. Hands down the BEST in the area. Their prices are always fair and the quality is second to none. I wish they could be open seven days a week. If you haven't been, you have to go!!!😀

Just tasted a thick slice of smoked turkey breast that a friend brought to work. (I still have the leg - can't wait to gobble that up, lol). It was outstanding!!! Moist, delicious flavor. Called to order one for Thanksgiving but, alas, no more orders. I wish I would have known. On a waiting list, hoping for a cancellation!!

Great steaks, chicken and pork, daily sandwich specials, home made salads. We always come to Rambo's for holiday meats, also.

They seem to have a little bit of everything there! Groceries, deli, and lots of character and history. Was the perfect place to stop for a snack during a bike ride. Cute little town.

Fun experience visiting an old country store/general store with the 1920's feel to it. Lots of fun and great food and sandwiches. Also a good history lesson on Califon.
