Bayonne Municipal Court

It was the friendliest court experience I have had by far. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they all had pleasant attitudes. The prosecutor was friendly and very helpful, and professional in going over my ticket dispute. The judge was very understanding and fair. Overall the building is well-kept and maintained, and even though my court hearing was done virtually, I had a good experience, despite having a pay a reduced fee for my parking violation.

I can't say that I particulary love or hate the place. In comparison to NYC the pace is a bit slower, however they get the job done. Everyone here seems to know everyone else which can be a concern for an outsider but at the same time its way more approachable and less intimidating than a big city courthouse

To be honest this place doesn’t even deserve a star. To say this place is racist is an understatement. They don’t care about what you have to say all they do is figure out a way to get money out of you and ruin your traffic record. Rather than wasting your time trying to fight the ticket go work instead and pay it rather than trying to prove your innocence to this racial profiling system.

A friend got a parking ticket, chose to go to court to fight. Was given court date, to call on the phone, but no answer for almost 5 hours. After calling the next morning, person said they had not answered calls the day before, no reason given. Promised to mail him another date, but got another ticket which included fee for missing court mailed instead.

rasist police officers be aware give tickets just to hit their coatas got ticken in mail officer was not even untill 30 min later at scene it was minor accident he showed up when cars was moved to different location and mailed my husband a ticket for something had nothing do to with accident other driver was speeding got no ticket but my husband was black so rasism to fullest wanted to go file complaint but they gave me run around over the phone so houng to court today to fight this fake ticket .

I had a court date today and the judge was disgustingly nasty. During this horrible time you would think that people would appreciate just being alive. I advised him that I keep getting tickets for the money I add to the my2park app. I have proof which he totally wouldn't acknowledge, like what would I get from being dishonest and treating me like Im nothing. I don't know if its the color of my skin. But, what I do know Im not alone all the physicans I work with in bayonne receive tickets as well. Someone need to give him a class on how to be more respectful to people. I'm just glad I only work in this town and not live.

They can be about anything but being just. All the time I go there in trial, although many holes in the stories that police officers tell, the judge goes "I believe the cop. You are guilty! " I don't understand how "his word over yours" is "proof beyond any doubt." Has happened to me with both judges the Carpenter and the other one. I know what actually goes on. And that has nothing to do with justice. I drive a Porsche. And when the prosecutor sees that, she never offers any reasonable deal, as they usually do to others. The same with the judge. "This guy has money, he must pay!" End of the story. They don't care or ask, as they do the others, for any reason, or why this "rich" guy is willing to go through this? They don't know the hardships and financial problems I am going through. Bottom line i need to sell the car. Not because I did anything wrong traffic-wise. I am the same guy who used to drive an Acura and never get a ticket. It is simply because of the leftist mentality of the police officers, prosecutors, and judges. Today just came back from a joke of trial like this. The big-fat head judge articulating her idiot decision, a police officer lying, outright lying, under oath, a shameless and bias prosecutor all willing to punish me for something that God, police officers, and I know very well I didn't do. So shame on them all! I used to have respect for police officers. Not any more! They are crooks! No doubts about it.

I was stopped by “rogue cops” who harassed me based off my looks. I was told that I am a criminal, I was told that have I been arrested many times (lies, I do not smoke nor have I ever been arrested) They went on to tell me that I was not supposed to be in their town nor do their town accept “ people like me”. Just because of the address my Drivers license displays.
I am kindly asking everyone who is not apart of their “community” to kindly stay away !!. It is not a safe place to be in. Highly racist and it is all a scam just to bring revenue into the courtroom.

What ironic they should put on the patrol to abuse and corruption because this people domt know nothing abouth protect & serve//they forgot this is not greece👎👎👎👎

Worst court ever. Worst police department ever. Never take a morning appointment at 9 o'clock coz you will see that white judge. He is so tough and will always find a way to make you guilty no matter what evidence you have.

They are literally robbing people of due process right now. The violation department is just closed and not scheduling court dates yet they are handing out tickets with no way to schedule a hearing.

Ah yes, extortion at its finest. They don't really care to listen to your explanation, judge was more concerned about how you're going to pay the fine.

From the police department and their crooked cops all the way to the animal judges, these guys are shysters thugs with badges. Bayonne has some bad karma coming their way.

Always issue tickets for collecting fines even minor violations with non-safety related matter. Those could be warning.
