Five Stars Thai Restaurant

The food was so good! I’ve been to Bangkok and Phuket, plenty of times and this place really captures the authentic art of Thai cuisine. Will definitely be returning to try more of what’s on their menu!

I ordered from this restaurant numerous times but today was the first time I got the lunch special. The prices & portions are reasonable and it comes with a drink. I can see why it's called five stars because that's what it is! My first time trying red curry and it was super delicious, well seasoned and hot when it arrived to me. 😋😋

Really good Thai restaurant! The crispy snapper exceeded my expectations both in size and in taste! It could easily feed 2 or 3 persons! The Tom Yum soup and satay were also good. All reasonably were priced!

Great Thai food at a reasonable price. Not the nicest Thai I’ve ever had by a long shot (as someone who’s lived in Asia/Pacific) but they have some very nice dishes. Loved the drunken noodles I ordered over Grubhub. Decent size portion and tasted fresh and was overall pretty damn amazing. 👍🏼 Green curry is good too but didn’t have a wow effect like the noodles. Also highly recommend the steamed dumplings which are very nice. Will definitely be back. 👌🏼

Hands down the best Thai food in the area. They also have the tradition Thai basil chicken that I like. Most places don’t or say they do but the minced chicken is always the missing piece. Not here though. I absolutely love this place. I order take out from downtown jersey city because all the places in the area are just okay. Nothing truly compares. I recommend the Drunken noodles, red curry, Thai basil chicken (traditional or normal, depending what you like). Also beware. Medium spicy has a kick - so if you can’t take the heat maybe start off with mild first

This restaurant truly deserves the name 5 Stars Thai. Both when eating in and taking out, the staff is impeccable. Have never been disappointed since the first day I’ve been here and I’ve kept coming back. Good food, great prices on the lunch special with the free drink, and timely. Definitely worth trying out.

My wife and I had a fantastic lunch here! The food was delicious - we ordered the drunken noodles, red curry, mango salad, and Thai milk tea. I highly recommend all of the above. Maybe avoid the mango salad if you don't like fish sauce, but I thought they were all perfect.

The food was great value too. Our bill was only $45 for the four dishes.

What made the experience especially memorable though was the kindness of the owner. She was very attentive, chatted with us, and let us stay as long as we wanted until the heavy rain died down. The straw for the drink even came with a little origami flower on top!

I'm posting a review because the service was so great. Server was very friendly and polite! Food was good, nothing out of this world - just some good Thai food. It's worth a try.

Pleasing, restful and delicious. This is a hidden gem, worth the visit every time. Friendly staff, hardly ever a wait, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. I've had almost every dish on the menu and each plate (and visit) is always a good experience.

Great food and wonderful staff! I called ahead before ordering online for delivery to discuss my gluten allergy. They assured me they could accommodate and were very knowledgeable about allergies and food preparation. My meal arrived quickly with everything labeled gluten free! They also sent a lovely note inside. Very impressed and more importantly, the food was great - I would definitely recommend for anyone in a similar boat as me!

This is the best place around for Thai food. They are also very nice people. I highly recommend you try the place. Also, call them direct. Don’t use those services, it eats into their business. They do have a delivery person.

Five Stars Thai truly deserves five stars and is my go-to Thai place in Union City. The food is excellent, authentic, and always consistent. They really know how to make it spicy as well with balanced flavor (not overkilled with just chilies). One of the best Thai restaurants in the Jersey/Union City area. Even though it is takeout only, highly recommend giving them a try - you won’t be disappointed.

Nice place for a date or to eat with friends.
