Great service and great food. Steamed snapper was excellent. Jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned. Highly recommended.

Since i found out about this spot this school year, it's been my go-to place for lunch whenever I'm eating out. I haven't tasted anything i haven't liked. Everything dish I've had is seasoned and cooked well. I've been recommending this place for others to experience some good eating as well. It's always a warm reception from the server, owner or the chefs when i go in there. Definitely worth the 5 stars.

I had given up on finding a "decent" west indian restaurant. But I decided to stop ordering from the big chains, Wendy's, BK, etc and instead explore local restaurants in my neighborhood. JACKPOT! Prices AND portions are great. Authentic delicious food. My 1 and only complaint, is that they don't let you order extra meat on the side. Lol But I couldn't be happier I found a great spot, near my house, and I'm supporting local business.

First time trying out the place and i must say excellent food.
I was impressed , not many good restaurants in our neck of the woods here in the greenville section of Jersey City NJ.
Not many with quality is my main point.
But glad to know these guys care that much about the quality of food produced. 5 stars!

Love the jerk chicken with the rice and sweet plantain. Yum yum. Serving size come in medium and large, if the medium is more than plenty of me. They also have plenty of other things to eat pizza hot dogs please see the menu. They don't have a place to sit and eat but you can take it to the triangular park across the street. Love it.

OMG! The food is excellent. The oxtails are the best that I’ve had in the US; but I also enjoy the jamaican fish. It is delicious!! Great staff, warm and friendly owner. They really appreciated my business. Will def go back.

Finally found a good Jamaican spot. I have been hunting in Jersey City trying to find authentic Jamaican food.
The jerk chicken with rice and peas was amazing and don't get me started on the beef patties!!! The patties tasted exactly like the best patty spot back in Jamaica. I shall be visiting again to try other things from the menu.

The food always so fresh and the service is always so pleasant!!!!! I love going there and being greeted with a smile and hospitality and the restaurant is always clean!!! 😱😱😱😱 Great selection of drinks as well and won't break your pockets to get great food that tastes like home. Comfort food right around the corner🥰

I always get their callaloo meal here with their sides. Their festivals are excellent, I’m a veggieT so I don’t eat their meats, but the seasonings and preparations are always on point. Can always count on mi island folks to keep me full & satisfied lol

The Rasta Pasta!!! A very creative blend of pasta and chicken or shrimp. The shrimp pasta is especially delicious as the Jamaican seasoned shrimp mixed- in with the pasta sauce is to die for... Don’t be shy to try something on the menu that might be unfamiliar to you; Sun Island never disappoints!

The oxtail rocks at this joint!!! And the Jerk chicken is done just right -- tastes like it's straight from off a drum-pan in Kingston... very authentic!!!

Great Caribbean restaurant with a variety of different foods to choose from. Environment is clean and welcoming. Food is finger licking good especially the Jerk chicken. Will definitely go back

The food here is great !!!! Very delicious I am not a vegetable person and defiantly don’t like okra much because of the slime but I didn’t leave a crumb on my plate just the fish bones😇.

First time ordering from here. My mom came in she wanted some, father came in he wanted some, sis came in she wanted some, cat came in she wanted some, roach came in it wanted some. Long story short everybody loved it. Keep up the good work.🤣
