Great state park with picnic areas and several trails leading to the peak of Pack Monadnock. Happened to be there on a day a storm was rolling in but the views were still beautiful. Weekdays are nice and quiet, and the park employees are super friendly and helpful. Public restrooms were available too, a big plus! There is also a lookout tower providing even better views of the surrounding area, Mt. Washington and Boston.

An amazing state park with an extensive trail system. You can park at the base of Pack Monadnock and hike to the summit, or drive up the auto road. The summit offers views of Monadnock proper, Wapack Monadnock, and a view of Boston (if your eyesight or binoculars/camera is up to the task). There's also a watch tower that offers an even more elevated view of the surroundings. Make sure to book ahead, as it can be quite busy depending on the day and weather.

Very nice place to visit. We'll maintained. Lots of information before the hike and also a guide on the trails. (Blue for the easy one about 1.4 miles and Red or Yellow is the hard one like 1.8 miles).

I believe you'll pay $4 per adult till 5pm I think and then there's an honor system (envelope) after.

There's also a road if you don't want to do the hike to head to the top.

It has been forever since we have been to the top of Pack Monadnock. We were greeted by a wonderful gatekeeper to Miller State Park who politely asked for us to come down by 5. It was 315 or so and had plenty of time for our picnic! We found an amazing rock hut with a picnic table. We ate and then explored the trails a bit and took a ton of pictures. Asked if we could go UP the tower. We were, so we did !!!! The wind was both amazing and scary !!! There are MANY nooks and cranies to tuck away in with a picnic table & view !!!!

Strenuous but fun. Nice views from the Fire Tower on top. Wapack trail tends to be more breezy than the Marion Davis trail. There’s also a road to the top with very limited parking so make a reservation.

The ladies working the toll booth are amazing! They gave me tons of information on the park and trails before driving up to the upper parking.

I took the yellow trail to Wapack, the trail is in great condition and the scenery is really beautiful along the whole way. The Cliff trail has the best views and coming up it you'll get to see some cool rock features. Absolutely worth hiking the trail, hope to be back again soon!

Super friendly staff - especially Laura! Surprisingly challenging trails with plenty of rock and roots to surmount. The Wapack Trail to the too can be completed in 30 minutes if you keep a steady pace, though you will sweat. The views are fantastic, along the trail and at the top. Being able to climb the observation tower was amazing!

Very good park to hike, catch some fall colors and 360 degree views from the place.

On a clear day, one could see Boston sky scrapers and Manchester city from the top.

If there is an overcast, it might be raining/foggy while you hike. We also caught some snow flurries at the top.

Enjoyed the rocky hike! While going up try Wapack trail which has some moderate rock patches and then trail and take Marion Davis trail is a simpler one. Both are roughly 1.5 miles. You will get good top view from Wapack trail. On top you can watch for raptors, get your binoculars! There is a small coffee and souvenir shop. You can also ride with your car to the top. But hike is recommended. Hike is moderate and children will love little adventure climbing through rocky patches.

This is my favorite southern NH hike. Its close enough to MA that is not a long car ride and haul. Really our go to hike with the dog when what something a little more challenging without traveling to far. Ascending via the Wapack is fun as it starts with some easy scrambling. Typically descend via the Marion Davis for an easier route and change of scenery. Our dog loves this hike as well; should be kept on leash.

It’s a steep drive to the top of the hill, but the views are great. On clear days, you can even see Mt. Washington and Boston. If you prefer not to drive, there are two trails that bring you to the top, where you can access additional trails.

Great little hike! I went up the 'wet side' and down the 'rocky side' according to the people working the booth. Rocky side was the Wapack trail and was definitely steep coming down. Spent some time at the top admiring the view and spotting raptors at the veiwing spot! It was fun and easily done in one afternoon. Really big rock formations that are cool to see and hang out on along the way!

Great place to go for a great hike or walk. They have a couple hiking trails you can go on or you can walk or drive up the paved road to get to the top of the hill. Also they do allow leashed dogs! The views from the top are amazing on a clear day you can see Boston!

The drive up the road was great, as no other vehicle was coming down which can make it sketchy. We arrived at the top of the mountain parking lot to 2 other vehicles there. But there were a few pick-up trucks involved in maintenance and construction.
We enjoyed the sites sitting on a picnic table as the day was perfect. No wind, beautiful white puffy clouds, good visibility, warm temperatures and a few cars arrived after us.
We walked around and stopped at the concessions stand for an ice cream and some chips.
Then we drove back down the mountain and went to Wendy's in Milford for Strawberries Salad.
