Athens Pizza

The food tastes delicious. We had pizza and calzones. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. We were greeted when we walked in and as we left. The bathroom was very clean. This was our second time there for lunch. We ate our food there inside. Table and booths were very clean.

We've always loved Athens especially because we need two or three extra large pizzas when we order for us and the kids. They are always super delicious and very friendly when we go in

Their pizza is delicious with a very flavorful sauce. I frequently eat here and the quality and deliciousness is always consistent. The owners are wonderful people with big hearts and who truly care about the community.

Honestly best pizza around the cheshire area but then again all I have besides this place is domino's lol gross... but ya the owner is nice, workers are nice and the food is so good

The pizza here was fantastic.....we wanted to visit the town of Jaffrey (see my surname)and Jaffrey Pizzas was closed....but Athens pizza was just great!

Have gone twice in the past month. Same excellent food and service I remember from years ago.

I just moved to Jaffrey after 15 years in Boston. Naturally, my first order of business - not unpacking, not finding a new primary care doctor, not checking to make sure my house has working fire alarms - was to test out the local pizza joints. Athens Pizza was first up, but sadly the experiment ended there, as there will be no need to look any further.

We’re talking the Platonic Ideal of pizza joints here. For starters, I placed an order over the phone and the guy just said “Number 14, ten minutes” and then hung up. This was pure pizza confidence coming through the line. When I arrived at Athen’s ten minutes later, I saw the perfect awning - not quite orange and not quite red. That color is only found in top shelf pizza joints. What’s more, there’s a karate place next door. If a pizza joint is going to achieve transcendence, it must share a wall with a dojo. That’s in the Bible.

A single fact hit me the moment I stepped inside - there’s no way this place didn’t have a Mortal Kombat machine in the corner about 30 years ago. Another domino falls.

And the pizza? It was the best damn pizza I’ve ever had. Perfect level of grease and those sort of like, age spots on the cheese. The sauce had a little bit of attitude. And the crust, good God.

I’m not a crust guy. I give my crust to my dog. I generally think of crust as the original sin of pizza - a black mark on something that could have been perfect. But my dog went hungry that night (I fed him, don’t be dramatic). This crust is incredible. It’s light and thin but not flaky because it’s got a little moisture to it. I bet if you took a piece of this crust and blew into it a Minor 7th chord would play.

I see some people on here slinging one star reviews at this place and I’m reminded of the Romans who spat at Jesus. Good luck with your Papa John’s, heathens. Athen’s Pizza is the One True Pie.

Spendy but worth the price.

Athens Pizza is tops@#! Recently moved to the area, and hitting the local pizza joints to find the best. We need to look no further. Athens will be our go-to pizza haunt from here on in.

Its been a year since i ordered from here so i order tonight. Late night at work so not much time to cook for the kiddos. I ordered a sub (steak and cheese peppers onions mushrooms cheese) small fries (which are huge) grilled chicken salad and a small cheese pizza

I got home everything looked great until I opened my sub 🙃 a bacon cheese with peppers onions and mushrooms not what I ordered. When I called an explained they were AWESOME quick to apologize and made the order to pick up correctly I got home no big deal missing mushrooms but man this sub was GREAT! loaded and full and delicious great customer service great food mishaps happen just love the way they handled it

They are really nice. We love their food, too. They treat us like family.

I had an amazing experience at Athens. The food was just out of this world and some of the best food I’ve gotten from a fast food restaurant

This place is a real discovering for me! Absolutely adorable atmosphere, makes me feel like home. Decent pizza and absolutely phenomenal mozzarella sticks! Quick and friendly service and reasonable prices.

I have never had one complaint about their food. I had my first gyro there recently, and honestly, it was the best one I ever ate. Their pizza is delicious and reminds me of my childhood days in NJ enjoying pizza from Italian Mom and Pop shops. Their meat, like chicken breasts, is never dry or overcooked, and they keep their fryer oil fresh so fried foods taste fresh every time. I like the dining room atmosphere for eating in. Bathrooms always kept clean. I appreciate the community board in the entrance area. I have never heard one complaint about them among the towns people like I have heard about other town eateries. Their prices are fair and don't give me a heart attack when I get the bill. Great job Jaffrey Athens Pizza!

The pizza here is awesome. Drove from Manchester to get this pizza. Just a cheese pizza will do ya fine. But toppings here are also great!!

Great local pizza spot. Had the Athen's special and Kielbasa with Pineapple and both were delicious. Great crust. Not deep dish like it looks, which I prefer. 10-inch small will fill up one person easily. 3 or 4 beers on tap for just $5 per mug (and sell by the pitcher).

I'm like one of the sons the Athens family never had but always satisfied with food and drink and an all around enjoyable experience...

The pizza is great and staff is very friendly and helpful. The downtown location is convenient and there's a great ice cream stand right across the street for dessert.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and good food! How often you get all that in one place?! We got a small half and half...perfect on the amount of toppings and they use REAL BACON!
