Red Cloud Campground

Fairly nice place to stop, I just stopped here on my way to Texas - it suited me well. Plus there was this rabbit that said hi, that was cool!

Today is August 11th, 2020. This place is a National Forest campground surrounded by beautiful tall pine trees. Has 13 sites. All sites are first come first serve. There is one vaulted toilet but no water. Despite being near to the highway, it is relatively quiet. It is a restful and enjoyable place.

Great place to spend the night while passing through to the Black Hills. We stayed on Memorial Day weekend and for $5 we had the place basically to ourselves. The amenities are simple, well taken care of and I would recommend. Plus early in the morning hours you can hear wild life including turkeys 🦃

Awesome campground for $10 a night, super quite and peaceful.

Simple small campground. I paid $5 for the night and had the place nearly to myself. The place has 2 pit toilets and water and trash facilities. Campsites have a picnic table, fire ring, and a grill. Good place for an overnight stop.

Can't even begin to tell you all how beautiful and clean this campground is. So impressed and thankful for it being there.

Been camping here first weekend in June for 27 years it's a tradition for me love the place..

I just snuck in to sleep for the night but it was very nice..

Very quiet and nice

A nice jewel of a campground. We had planned on a one night stay, but decided for two nights. A lovely pine forest surrounds the area. There are a couple of sites for bigger rigs and our 5th wheel. Nice mowed grassy areas, trash cans and a vault toilet on site. This is not a large campground, and not all sites can take an RV. First come first served, no reservations here.

We were surprised that no one was here, but for the road noise, is pretty laid back. A great place to stop when traveling through.

AT&T cell coverage is excellent.

Price is $10 a night/ $5 for seniors.

One step above primitive campground. Ok for tents. Has a dozen rv slots, basically level, gravel. No electric, water, sewer. Pit toilet. No dump site. Lots of pine trees. Rv lots are mowed and maintained. Has fire rings. 150 feet through the trees to the highway. $10.00 overnight camping.

It's a good stop-over primitive campground. Not designed for extended camping, it did serve its purpose perfectly for one night of inexpensive sleep. The only thing that could be better is if there were more deciduous trees to shade the sites.

$5 a night? Clean campsites? Fresh pine air? Yep, yep, and yep.

Local residents across the highway's dogs? Loud and continuous. Jake braking trucks? Plentiful and just yards away.

All things considered, I would camp here again as an overnight stop.
