Authentic Colombian food right in the City of Newburgh. Came here with a friend and i got the Bandeja Paisa and he got the Grilled Chicken Plate with Rice and Plantains. My dish came with White rice, beans, plantain, egg, avocado. Grilled steak and fried pork belly. Its definitely a hearty and delicious breakfast that doesn’t disappoint. Dont forget the Colombiana!

Best chicharrón I've ever had. They were very polite and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. One of my favorite places in the area! The place is very clean and has a very nice ambiance to it.

Just had a chicken sandwich here and my co-workers got the steak and fries. Everything was 100% on point! We ate in so they served us pieces of Pandebono to start which were warm and delicious. Nice spot, it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area.

I went with my family to Chadwick lake and we’re nearby. We are from Blooming Grove and we craved Colombian food. We don’t have one near us. The food was amazing and the cholado (fruit up) was to die for. We will be making the trip here more often. It was worth the ride! Staff is very friendly and the place is neat/clean.

Came here for a first time and really loved it.
I enjoyed my Lengua en Salsa, if was so freaking good. My boyfriend had a Bandeja Paisa, and he loved it as well.
The beans, rice, plantains, steak, and chicharrón was perfectly cooked.
We also had 2 beef empanadas, super flavorful.
We will definitely come back. The food is so authentic and it's always what we look for to enjoy.
Next time, I will bring some friends over.

Old style neighborhood place. You can't beat the value for the money. The place was very clean,with friendly service. Delicious food,we ate every bite.

Love Columbian food so I drive here from Poughkeepsie. Small little shop and it's authentic tasting Columbian food. The owner is friendly and the food is always delicious. Its in the middle of a residential neighborhood so at first glance you think you turned down a wrong road or are at someones house but that's what makes it great. Support your local mom n pop restaurants.

The most amazing Colombian food I’ve ever had. Yes, better than in Colombia. Every where I eat, I always use Don Hugo’s as the benchmark to beat. The chicharron here is absolutely outstanding, it’s crispy on the outside but never over done, the inside is pillowy, and the skin is always crunchy. The carne asada always has so much flavor. I’ve never had anything like it. The rice is always cooked perfectly but the beans steal the show. The plantains are soft, sweet, and have the perfect amount of crisp. You can tell that Don Hugo is a master of his craft. The food never disappoints. I’ve brought countless people here and they’ve all loved the food. Don Hugo is so kind, warm, welcoming and just simply an amazing person. 10/10 would recommend. Make sure you bring cash.

Don Hugo makes excellent home made taste Colombian food, I always come here to eat when in the area.

I just moved from Boston to the Newburgh area and I decided to give this place a try. There was one customer ahead of me and when the owner came out to give the customer her food he skipped with happiness and gave her the food. That put a smile on my face. When he rang me up for my purchase he said to me " I hope this meal brings you good nutrition and happiness". Those words warmed my heart. The owner is very sweet and needless to say the food was pretty good too. It definitely tasted like a home cooked meal :)

Amazing food and wonderful service!

This authentic Colombian food is amazing. Everything I have ever gotten has been on point. But their Chicharrón is like candy. Always have to get two orders. Melts in your mouth. Highly recommend.

This was the first time I've gone to this place, its small with only a couple of tables but its worth it. It has a very authentic feel to it and the staff is very nice. The food is made to every order and has very good flavor. Everything is fairly priced and definitely worth it.
