Maywood

I love taking a walk in maywood. Its quiet and beautiful! There is fish, frogs and turtles in the ponds. I posted a picture and it is a big turtle!

We went for the maple sugaring day. It was fun. They have nature paths, a visitor's center, and a daycare. They offer summer camps for kids. There is a strong group of volunteers. A creek runs through the park. There are also a couple of ponds. The park connects with Evergreen Park for even more trails.

I took a class on identifying coniferous trees. We didn't walk far since many areas were still wet from the melting snow. The first bluebirds had arrived and were investigating a nest box. Two deer appeared in the distance. It's clear this is a wonderful place to bring children, hike, enjoy nature and learn about all different habitats.

This was our first visit and we loved it! We had a nice relaxing walk around the park and spent a lot of time looking at all of the different flowers and trees.

Full of wildlife and nature. It features nice trails you can walk through wooded areas and has some wetlands that are absolutely beautiful.

Worth the trip every time!

Found this little gem today. Great place for a walk to see native prairie plants and trees, with a path that goes along the Pigeon River. Wonderfully peaceful!

One of our favorite places to go and explore as a family! The trails are well maintained, can get muddy at times but that's obvious for nature. I absolutely adore this place.

Fantastic trails, wonderful scenery along the Pigeon River and a fantastic ecology center. I love hiking these trails with my wife and kids. Everyone is friendly and the trails are usually clean and maintained.

Maywood is a well kept nature preserve. There are many hiking trails through native areas, such as a prairie and pine forest. It is common to see hawks and deer. In the winter trails can be used for cross country skiing and snow shoes. People will also walk the trails year round.

If you like nature, seeing deer, and breathing fresh air, this is the place!

One of our favorite parks to roam! So many fun trails, friendly staff and great scenic vistas.
Would highly recommend to anyone local or from out of town to stop by and explore!

Went on a Sunday afternoon the park center was closed but still able to walk around. Was very nice and peaceful lots of hiking space. Both my boys had fun spotting all the different wildlife.

A hobby of mine brought me to this place. I absolutely love it!! Very nice!
