Majerle's Black River Grill

This was our second visit to Majerle’s and again, we were not disappointed. This small supper club is located in a very wooden area of south Sheboygan, near Andre Kohler State Park. I had the rib-eye medium-rare with mushrooms, salad, and vegetables. Our starter was warm rolls and we were lucky enough to get a table near the window close to the grazing deer herd! Get there early, as it is a small place and fills up fast. If you have to wait, there is a good sized bar with very good Old Fashioned ($5). There is a fireplace in the restaurant but that hasn’t worked for awhile. Service was excellent and food was the same. We will be back.

We stopped by late one night for dinner. They were very busy, bt we were able to be seated. The service was very good and very helpful in informing us of their nightly specials. Since this was our first time here, the server also informed us of some of the dishes that the restaurant was known for.

As a Supper Club and a steakhouse, I thought their bar had a poor selection of top quality liquors except for vodka.

Outstanding food! My wife had their Broiled Scallops, and she still raves about them. I had the Walleye, single portion, plenty of food. The fish was lightly breaded, tender, and excellently seasoned. We were very impressed with our entire dinner experience. We will definitely return.

Family owned local log cabin restaurant. Casual, cozy atmosphere where yurt food is made with love! You’re in the beautiful Black River wooded neighborhood & there’s wildlife to be seen right outside the large picture window. You can also warm up by the fireplace! Highly recommend!!!

I don't ever do reviews, but this place is the best. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and then, the best prepared food anywhere..
Steaks, both ribeye and tenderloin, are done perfectly! Make sure to order the black river side salad!!!

Our family of four just chose Majerle's restaurant from Google reviews, not being from this area. Bingo! Everything we were looking for in a restaurant. The log cabin in the woods homey ambiance, the historic building, the service, the delicious food and the reasonable prices. Majerle's will give us a good reason to be back in this area soon.

First time here. Glad we came early on a Saturday night. It booked up pretty fast. Service was great and food was good. We even had a show of deer visit. Very affordable.

Majerles is a really really good local spot if I do say so myself! The Grill has a really homely feel to it inside and out, like a little wood cabin in the middle of the forest while the inside is a tightly knit bar and restaurant that's easy to move around in and pretty to boot! Service was grade A, nice to talk to and courteous as all heck. Food was great, cheese curds were tasty, and the turkey reubon I got was tasty on all ends and all at a ridiculously great price to boot. I don't have any problem with Majerles and will definitely stop by again.

This is a pure gem found in the woods. Even being on a diet they were accomodating, and asked questions around my diet to make sure they gave me the best experience. I was impressed with the extra care they had that I would recommend this place to everyone to try once because you will gone back again.
They also made sure to ask how you would like your steak made for the steam sandwhiches. They also did a steak as black and blue and nailed it. Medium size portions and seem enough to take left overs.

Good food and friendly staff, great steaks and seafood, went back to the restaurant for Good Friday and had the broiled Haddock it was wonderful so was the clam chowder and once again the staff was very friendly, update 8-13-22 came back for my husband's birthday, I had their 6 oz. tenderloin & coconut shrimp very good & my husband had their breaded Haddock which he really likes

I always celebrate my birthday here on a Saturday, for the prime rib and Porterhouse Saturday night specials. We celebrated our 19th anniversary on a Friday. My only disappointment was no baked French onion soup. Understandable on a Friday. Yet, they had seafood chowder as opposed to every other facility serving clam chowder. Yay! I love this place in its entirety. I have been a patron for 30+yrs.

Food was fantastic other than the mashed potatoes those tasted like instant potatoes but other than that my prime rib was amazing and the pork chop was great. Dessert tasted like something my mom would make. 10/10 would come back here again.

We had fantastic food, outstanding friendly staff, & some of the best old fashioned’s!!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, double baked, salad, & seafood chowder were amazing. We will be back!

Number one their food is fantastic number two their drink prices are very reasonable I had the broasted chicken with broasted potatoes and coleslaw, everything was wonderful and I had blind Russian which is vodka, Kahlua, and Baileys Irish Cream and it was very good, I would highly recommend this place and I would highly recommend making your reservation by Wednesday for the weekend because they fill up fast.

What a surprise. We are here from out of town but saw great comments about this place. This was like stepping back to a supper club when you got value and good good for your dollar. Everything was good. The basil dressing is delicious. Our server was very pleasant. One of our best vacation meals ever. Highly recommend.

Great food and service - the steaks are great! You can watch the deer at the feeders outside. Great drink and dessert prices. The wine is reasonably priced. The baked haddock is very tasty. Desserts are delicious and made in house.

The bluegill fish fry was absolutely amazing! Arrived early and had a beer at the bar, bartender was very nice and ensured we got the right order for takeout. Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is great, the service was great and the food was awesome! You can tell they take pride in their restaurant.

Tucked in a beautiful setting, this place never disappoints. Solid menu and delicious specials. Had the smoked pork chop with cherry vodka glaze on a recent visit and it was delicious. A great spot for steaks or fish. Try a torte for dessert!

A little hidden homestyle gem worthy of its reputation. Great service, good food (steaks), and overall small town vibe. 1hr seat time and no Amex accepted are considerations, but otherwise fantastic.

A true hidden gem. Make reservations and get ready to enjoy a very tasty meal. Food is very good.
