Brookfield Church

I have been attending Brookfield Church for the past 3 years. As an international student (Nigerian) who came here in 2019 and had no family, I have felt really blessed to find a home in Brookfield church. I was welcomed with love and open arms and I never had to try a second church.

Beyond the warmth and hospitality, I have been constantly challenged by the love people in Brookfield have for Jesus and for people, especially the lost. They truly exemplify Jesus’ command to take up our cross and follow him and I have learnt a great deal practical ways to do this.

Brookfield has felt like home, a place God prepared for me because He knew I was coming to Athens. Will forever be grateful for all who left their lives to come plant this amazing local church.

Very welcoming community, great worship band, and inspiring Bible teaching.

EDIT: Unfortunately I graduated from OU and left Athens so I no longer attend Brookfield. But I have yet to find a church where I'm at now that is as good as Brookfield was. Attending service was *almost* always the highlight of my Sunday as the Christian atmosphere and the fellowship that existed there was incredible. Once again, the old saying that "you never know what you have until it is gone" has shown itself to be true. Looking forward to stopping by the next time I'm in town!

My sister attended this church when she was in school in Athens. I came while I was visiting her. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. The have fellowship time before service starts. I really enjoyed the whole service from the praise and worship to the sermon. My sister showed me the kids area afterwards and I was impressed. Definitely a church the whole family can enjoy

My wife and I miss Brookfield Church, we only visited a few times during the summer last year during our summer visit, but we had an amazing experience and enjoyed the services.

Everyone was very nice and friendly, if you are passing through, just visiting or just moved to the local area I would recommend Brookfield Church.

There are many churches in the local area and surrounding communities, we tried Brookfield first and just to see what was out there tried about 6 other churches, at the end we went back to Brookfield for the remainder of our summer vacation. I think in total we went to about 8 services.

One of my favorite things minus the free coffee and donuts 😁 was the worship team, they did an amazing job at setting the right atmosphere and it was very spiritual and uplifting.

Great place! The people here make you feel welcome! After my first time visiting, a number of people came up to me and welcomed me and that felt great! Feels like a very intimate and connected congregation! I’ve only been to the outdoor services (because of Covid) but hope to visit when they’re back inside!

Wonderful community church. My family stopped in for a Sunday morning service on our way home form visiting family in SC. We enjoyed the modern scripture based worship and the exposition of the Word.

I have been attending this church for several years now and love the small group focused, relational church that it is. The services are casual and easy for visitors to attend. Also they have a great location uptown Athens within walking distance for OU students

A church that holds to the truth of the Bible & is full of kind, welcoming people. Very pleased with the ways they have safely handled Covid. 10/10 recommend!
