I disagree with some of the past reviews shedding negative vibes about the practice. I have been a patient of Dr. Buff for over 20 years and can’t say enough positive things about him and the staff there. They have always been attentive, professional and caring. As far as the change to Saratoga I can’t give a positive or negative review but can only state that my visits have been great.

Scotia Glenville has been my primary care for the past 10 years and I have nothing but good reviews. The staff is caring and my PCP Stacy listens and addresses all my concerns. I can honestly say she has been the best primary I’ve ever had.

I've been going here since I was little and now that I'm an adult I had no doubts when I decided to stay with this office. My doctor is amazing and takes the time to actually ask about my health and look into concerns instead of brushing them off. It's really easy to schedule appointments and they have a great system for reminding you. They also offer morning walk in hours which was a life saver this past fall. I would have gotten pneumonia if I had waited any longer without the treatment that I received!

I see Dr. Ricker and she is such an amazing doctor! She is so knowledgeable and compassionate. She has called me personally over the years to see how I was feeling when I was sick or answer questions I had.
I feel so blessed to be able to see such a great physician!

New doctor same great attention to patient detail...

As others have stated, this place went downhill after falling under the Saratoga Hospital Group curse. I have been here 20 years and it is worse every year. My doctor is still there, but you can tell she is not happy anymore. The new facility in Malta is a very unhappy place compared to the little building in Glenville. I will not be here for much longer.

Switched to a new provider, was with them for about 28 years but due to staff changes, patient transfers and me being transferred to their Malta office I was ready to move on. Its unfortunate because I have been with them so long, its weird working with someone else but I guess thats how it goes. I guess what bothered me the most is they know I live far away and wanted to transfer me to their Malta office which is further away from me (add about 20 - 30 minutes). Couldn't really request to stay at the original office it essentially was their way or the highway on that one.

Thank you for all that you do. With that being said let me explain, Thank you for billing my insurance for $3000 in bloodwork, Thank you for sending me a bill for the other $815 that was not covered, Thank you for calling me and telling me its "recommended" that its required for me to have another repeat blood test after 3 months, Lastly thank you for terminating via letter by certified mailed that your terminating me for not wanting another $815 bloodwork bill.

lets go over a few things, the word recommend. That is a suggestion. it is not a ultimatum. However I was not informed that making my own medical autonym decision would result in being terminated. That Decision I made because I did not want to spend another $815 on bloodwork. that decision I made and explained to the office this was a financial decision.

money is the root of all evil, and if your primary practice is more concerned about making money off their follow up appointments, than you as a patient should re think where your going. You as a patient should have a primary care physician that educates you on your medical issues and stands behind what you think is best, (medical autonym) not kicks you to the curb when you explain that you cannot afford another $815 3 months later. I really shows where your priorities are as a practice.

All of the comments about this place going downhill since becoming part of Saratoga Hospital are true. All of the old Dr's are gone and the new ones don't care what the previous Dr's did for the past 20 years. Im sorry but I trusted Dr Ricker and her reccomendations, her advise, the medications i've taken for over a decade and now some new Dr wants to start over with their opinions. They don't care what your needs really are. When Dr Ricker left I figured it would be easier to stay with the practice since they have all of my history but they dont pay any attention to it anyway so I might as well have gone elsewhere.

I must say I am thoroughly disappointed with this practice. I have been going here since I was an infant, and will finally be switching providers. All of the experienced, good doctors are gone and the new ones simply do not live up to par. If you want a doctor who spends enough time with patients, is knowledgable to your questions, and actually asks about and addresses your concerns, stick with Albany Med or St. Peter's.
