The Center for Rheumatology, LLP

I have been going to The Center for Rheumatology for many years. I have always found everyone to be polite, and professional, from the medical staff, to the clerical staff. If I call the office and have to leave a voicemail message, I always receive a return phone call either the same day or the next day.

Trying to get hold of anyone in this office is impossible. I've called numerous times at different times of day and days of week and never am able to speak with a person. After leaving numerous messages - I have never even received a call back. I have even had employees from the Albany office try to help me - they were unable to get a response. I would NOT recommend using this office. Perhaps the Albany office would be a better option, even if it is farther to travel to.

I had a knee aspiration done here with a rheumatologist and she told me after the first needle, I would feel no pain. Immediately after (without allowing my knee to numb) she put in the second needle and I proceeded to yell to take it out because my knee was not numb. She then proceeded to roll her eyes at me and told me that were many other patients waiting and that I should have told her if I knew I wasn’t going to be able to handle the procedure. I do not recommend this place, they have NO bed side manners.

I am simply trying to make an appt and can't even get that. My elderly mother-in-law needs an appt and because she's a new patient has to leave a message for that appt. I called twice and so has she to just schedule an appt. but nobody calls back. It's been over 2 weeks. Obviously the staff needs more help or a more efficient staff. I work in the medical field and have never seen anything like this. The doctor's might be great but we'll never know without an appt.
