Home of the Ohio Bobcat Football team.

One of the oldest functioning college football stadiums in the country.

Obviously, she has some age on her and is in need of some tlc, but it is such an "Ohio University thing" it is not even funny.

Ohio University, founded in 1804 is the first public university in Ohio and one of the finest universities in the country.

The entire campus is worth a visit --- ESPECIALLY in the Fall. That entire Appalachian Region is gorgeous --- but the campus is incredible!

Spend time meandering around. Visit and partake of as many of the local businesses as you can.

The pictures are from Homecoming 2022.
Gametime.
Halftime.
Postgame.

Homecoming is one of -- if not THE best time to visit. Take in ALL of the festivities of the day. Take in the ballgame. Take in and be amazed by the Marching 110 and the Marching Alumni. The "Most Exciting Band in the Land" and the "Most Exciting Alumni Band in the Land", respectively.

Stay for the postgame as they ALL get on the field (win or lose) and play through their repertoire.

It's a sight to behold!!

Nearly brings me to tears --- and I've witnessed this for >30 years!

Go and enjoy!

Go! Ohio!!!
💚😻

Sits on the river bank and by the bike path. Easily accessible. Incredibly beautiful. The cherry flowers in the spring is really beautiful.

First OU football game. I anticipated a lot of stairs in the stadium; I was thrilled that they have an area where there were only 2 steps! Great view, band is THE BEST. Parking is nearby, accidentally found the band warming up so that was a nice surprise. Thousands of people, but it did not seem crowded. Loved it!

Tis my home so I'm pretty bias in this review....The FIRST university in the Northwest Territory, Home of The Ohio Bobcats and The Most exciting Band in the Land The Marching 110. I've seen players come and go, Hometown heroes, NFL players, Coaches and Students from every walk of life. The scene here surrounded by the colors of fall is the most spectacular sight. I've been to 3 major college venues...Peden Stadium will always be my favorite. Regardless of the ridiculous lines at concession, or the no reentry clause. The sounds the sights the crowd the lights We Love Football. We Are Ohio!

The real directions here are...come early to find the best parking on game day, bring cash there are no ATMs and they don't except credit. Be prepared for lines...They need a new system for this tbh. If you're an away team....We love you This isn't Marshall U where fans will spit on you or throw hotdogs at you ( Personal Experience). We want you to enjoy yourself We want to see you lose but we don't want you to be miserable while you do it (haha) Seriously if you need directions, or help with something ask someone wearing a Bobcat Shirt...99% of the time you'll find the answers you seek. Stay I repeat stay AWAY from uptown UNLESS you like bars and crowds. Nothing wrong with Uptown unless we just lost to Miami(OH) at Homecoming...Then beware of flaming couches (I kid.... Kinda....Google it)

It's football and GameDay...Let's all have fun and enjoy the Atmosphere.

150th Anniversary of the very First college football game.
Great time with my boys.
My Alma Mater lost 24-21 in a close battle in the cold and rainy conditions.

Went for a game with my wife and son, found my parents at the game, and they pulled some strings to have us meet the dean of the engineering college and president of the University! Perhaps make an impression on a potential new Bobcat in a few years? We'll see!

I dont know a lot about college stadiums but this must be one of the best! Any seat you feel like you're right there on the side of the field. Everyone in Athens seems to be happy to be there and its always a great experience.
