Mariachis Mexican Bar & Grill II

Was our first visit after driving by many times. The service was very good and prompt. We felt the food was definitely better than a lot of Mexican places in the Dayton area. I'm hard to impress being from Texas, but I was. Will be returning since it was better than expected.

All I have to say is Thank God for new management. My husband and I went here when it was still Guadalajara's and got severe food poisoning. It was a terrible experience so we were very hesitant to go again but when we heard it was under new management we decided to take the plunge. We were not disappointed at all! It was very convenient for us living In the area, and I have to say it was one of the better dining experiences we have had in awhile. The staff was so nice, we never had to ask for drinks or chips at all, was automatically refilled, even asked if we were enjoying everything instead of the popular "drop the food and abandon the diner" mentality at most places. The food was fantastic and the price point for the amount you get is amazing. The atmosphere was great and very clean inside. Marriachis II will become a regular place for my husband and I now. So awesome and was enough to erase my nightmares about Guadalajara's and turn Mariachi's II into a Dream! So excited to see them grow in the future.

I love this little restaurant! I live across the street and I order to go more than I’d like to admit, but with that being said it’s definitely worth eating at! The food is always good! The margaritas are even better!

Truly a hidden gem in the outskirts of Miami County. The New owner Jamie genuinely cares about guest's dining experience and is very personable. The cut of beef I had with my meal was was excellent for Mexican dining. Definitely worth a visit.

We ate here for the first time tonight. Everything was outstanding, despite us ordering to-go! Very nice to have another dining option so close in town. Prices are fair for quality of ingredients, and a diverse menu has something for everyone.

After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant but my husband and I gave it a shot and we weren’t disappointed with the food or friendliness of staff. We started off with a strawberry margarita for me and hubs had a margarona (margarita with a corona tipped in). Drinks were good, not tequila heavy which is a turn off for me so that was a plus. We enjoyed an appetizer of shrimp cocktail that was very close to what we make at home. Don’t go expecting shrimp and cocktail sauce because that is not what you get! For the main course, hubs had carne asada with beans and rice while I enjoyed a vegetarian quesadilla. I ate the inside of it (I’m not fond of flour tortillas) and it was delicious. While chatting, hubs finished his plate which he never does and we brought home the cocktail to enjoy later. Overall I would say it was a great dinner. The salsa served with chips wasn’t my favorite as it was a little heavy on the garlic and lacking other flavors, the chips were good and fresh, though. All the servers were nice and friendly, I would have liked to see them a bit more so I could have ordered a water but it was also nice to not be interrupted. Personal choice I assume.

The menu had many items that look like they will be great to try on future visits. Authentic food, not too americanized, with many selections to choose from including cactus, a household favorite here!
We will definitely be going back alone and with the family at some point!
