Braceville Christian Church

I have been going to this church since I was born, and am still attending (34 years later). I love the small, family-feel it brings. Every one of all ages has the opportunity to connect and learn together. Jon Pratt was a beloved minister that recently passed. We will miss him greatly. I commend our elders, who helped the church in a tumultuous time, to carry forward even when things are hard. I look forward to adding Jeff to our awesome lineup of ministers (including Lyn Cleveland). Jeff is kind, relatable and fun! I encourage everyone to visit and grow in God with us! ❤

Great place

Loved this church for the longest time. I grew up here. Very heartbreaking what happened to our preacher Jon. But I’m very disappointed in how the church has handled his passing. No one will be better for the church than Jon was. He was loved by many. For someone to take it upon themselves to completely erase him from the church Facebook page is just disgusting. Trying to erase his memory. So many of us would rewatch his sermons. And now we can’t. Shame on you.

I used to love this church. Devoted all of my extra time to supporting it. Had never felt so loved and accepted by a church family in my life. My pastor was Jon Pratt. His son went to school with my brother when we moved to the area and he invited us. That was over 20 years ago. My husband and I were both baptized there and married there. My son learned about Jesus there. We were all taught by an amazing Pastor who included all and shunned none. Tragically we lost him to cancer this past September. Now there is new blood in the doors and people have gotten to big for their britches. If you want to go to church with a group of "perfect people" that only want to erase Jon's memories from every part of the church and change everything that has been done there for the life of the church this is the place to go! Totally heartbreaking what is being done and allowed by the elders that the church body felt would protect the sanctity if the church. Jon, I hope you are resting easy, job well done servant, I am sorry they are destroying what you made great while your wife and children are forced to watch from the sidelines. Sharing screen shots from others her feel the same but their comments are being deleted by the person in charge of the church Facebook page now. Your rug is to little to sweep a Google review under though!
