Riverside Park

Great little hidden Park in middle of Wausau. Usually over shadowed by other major and more popular parks nearby but holds its own excitement. Great walking trail leads North to Picnic Island or head south on trail to other side of Wisconsin River to Oak Island Park. Good fishing, great playground for kids, winter sledding on the hill, Pavillion is excellent for small to midsized events with large kitchen. Large parking lot. Overall great park.

Very nice setting! Not a very big park in size but it sure is plenty big in popularity! They did a nice job on deciding what type of exercise machines as well as a unique play ground for the kids. The ninja warrior course is my daughters favorite. For icing on the cake there is a briqs ice cream shop just feet away.

Amazing place to go with the family or just a place stop and 🐟 either way you will enjoy the nature and beauty

Wausau parks are pretty cool with the islands and the access to those islands and that is really left to the design of nature

Great!! The pup had a great time running freely down on picnic island. It's wonderful to have a place for him to just go and run with out worrying about others in town.

Riverdale Park, is very nice Pet friendly park, shelter with picnic tables, and a kitchen with electricity inside, and out, great for weddings, Graduation, Birthdays, etc. Volleyball pit, and a Baseball Diamond.
There is nice walk bridge that takes ypu across the river to picnic island, with picnic tables, and a Beautiful view

Nice park, nice area for walks, nice to have the river right along side the park.

Great family space, good fishing and dogs are welcome! Come see!

Great park right in the heart of the city and had access to the Wisconsin River.

Love coming here and crossing the small bridge to picnic park island.
