Literally my favorite coffee/breakfast. Everyone is always so nice and the vibes inside are amazing! They always have artwork from local artists on the walls that changes frequently so it's fun to come in and see some new pieces from a different artist. I recommend the black honey latte, it's black raspberry and white chocolate.

This is my local coffee shop and I’ve been taking my kids here since they were small. I love to get my coffee in a ceramic mug rather than a takeout cup and sit on a Sunday morning with my paper. This place is always relaxed and friendly with good food and even better coffee.

We are visiting from Chicago, and always enjoy searching for local coffee experiences when we travel.
They have quite a few signature coffee drinks, using quality ingredients such as Ghirardelli chocolate. The coffee drinks run on the sweet side.
Very good bagel sandwiches, but not much to eat if you trying to avoid carbs or gluten.
Staff is friendly!

If you’re looking for vegan options, I recommend ordering the 88nine and specify on a plain/non-cheese crusted bagel

I love Roast Coffee when they come to my job. They are always very friendly to talk to as I wait for my coffee and they always have new flavors to try which I love. The quality of the drinks is always very rich and tasteful.

It’s always an outstanding experience. The coffee and breakfast items are the best in the city. Everyone working here is incredibly personable and kind - more that willing to answer any questions or address concerns as needed.

There isn’t anywhere in the city that compares.

I highly recommend the iced latte (I enjoy oat milk) with lavender and honey. The championship breakfast sandwich is outstanding.

10/10. Will continue coming here for the foreseeable future and cannot thank Ryan enough for operating such an outstanding place to stop in or stay awhile.

The bagels? Banging. The coffee? Slaps. The baristas? Immaculate. Roast is a beacon of light in a world of darkness. Every sip of coffee that comes from behind the counter is steeped with love and understanding. The barista, Hope, makes a quad shot latte so good that I'll have to find a support group if I ever stop drinking them. I love Roast. They gave me a sticker and a free coffee for reviewing them!

Roast is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee! The Hammerhead is my go-to pick me up and the Ggoolldd breakfast sandwich is my favorite thing to eat there. :)

Always fast friendly service. Today, to go with my fave, Oat Milk Hammerhead (Ghirardelli white chocolate and caramel mocha), I tried the Oshi bagel sandwich. It was so good. Great quality coffee and food, seems like a popular place for students and neighborhood people alike. I highly recommend

I absolutely love coming to Roast for my coffee. Not only are the drinks and the food amazing but the atmosphere is beautiful and comforting. It provides the warm cozy feeling of sitting by the fire without the actual fire. The surrounding artwork helps amplify the vibrance of the cafe as well. If you’re looking for a peaceful and comforting setting to drink your coffee, this is the place!

Roast is a great place to hang out, work, and grab a bite (and a lovely coffee drink) for a delightfully reasonable price point. Mason is an incredible barista and so kind and welcoming, all the staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is the perfect blend of relaxed and focus-friendly, so I can work there for hours. Plus every sandwich is stellar every single time!

One of the best coffee shops in Milwaukee! Nice vibe, good corner location. Small, excellent place to work or meet, good coffee. My favorite place to start my workday, grab a weekend afternoon coffee, or grab a drink to take with me when I'm heading out of town.

wonderful and charismatic service. barista took into the fact that is was my first time visiting, helping me with the menu. I ordered the pineapple mango smoothie and I could tell it was made with love. roast coffee turned my day and left me with an extra pep in my step. 12/10 experience, would come everyday if I could.

I have been coming here pretty much every week I've lived in the Upper East Side neighborhood. Once you visit Roast, you'll understand why. It's just the perfect local coffee shop with amazing specialty lattes and equally amazing sandwiches. Not to mention the CINNAMON ROLLS (A personal favorite of mine, and get them heated up!).

As a college student, it's always pleasant to come in here and possibly see another UWM student I recognize and have a chat or just read or work on homework. The atmosphere is great, there are so many seating options, and the baristas are always super friendly. I make a point every semester to fit my weekly trip to roast in between classes because I get sad when I don't go for a week! (And I swear I'm not just addicted to caffeine)

Overall just great coffee shop with sandwiches and bakery items.

Everything being said, I would like to see less disposable things in use regularly like to go cups, tin foil, and to go bags (If I'm eating in the store, a small plate for my bagel and a latte cup would be preferred :)).

I do want to call attention to their discount for bringing your own cup however! Very appreciated.

To wrap this up, I will for sure continue to come here regularly as long as I live in the area!

Been going to Roast for years and I’ve never had a negative experience! It’s my go to study spot and I love being friends here! The staff is very friendly and I always look forward to seeing Bert in the cafe! I HIGHLY recommend Roast! Plus the lattes are to die for!
