What a beautiful and historic resort! Walking in the lobby your greeted with a slightly creaky floor and the smell of wood burning in the fire. The cabins are large and very well kept with a very nice jacuzzi tub and adjustable ambient lighting they suck you right in and make you feel at home! The lobby staff was knowledgeable and friendly ready to assist in any way! The dinning experience was memorable with good food and great cocktails. I Just wish the pool lights weren’t so bright for more of a celestial viewing at night. Would 100% recommend we will definitely be going back.

Chico Hot Springs Resort is one of our favorite destinations in Montana. Located in Paradise Valley, the resort is nestled within the beautiful mountains about an hour south of Livingston. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Fisherman's Lodge on the hill above the main lodge, less traffic as there are only 9 or 10 rooms up there. Quiet and peaceful. The dining room is an absolute must! It is easily one of the best restaurants in the state. We had the specials, Seared Scallops with celery root puree and waygu rib eye with roasted mash. The hot tub and pool are by far the best thing. Soak and relax in the early hours and watch the sun come over the mountains. There is so much to offer, it is hard to cover it all in one review. If you have the chance, make the trip! You will not be disappointed! Side note, there is always the possibility of running into a celebrity; Jeff Bridges has a house in the area and actually met his wife in the Chico dining room when she was a waitress. If you do see a celebrity, don't bother them. They are trying to relax and unwind like the rest of us.

Amazing experience here! The hot springs were amazing and the service was so amazing in the bar and hot springs. The band The Max was so amazing and made the whole place have such a great time! I hope I get to experience them again. Can't wait to go back!

I would equate photographing weddings here to winning the lottery. Montana at its absolute best: big sky, the best color palette, and a background that rivals all beauty. There is no greater place to host your family and friends, there is so much to do, amenities all-around, an immersive experience that will leave you imbued in wonder. Every time I am here I am blown away, the history, the rooms, facilities, and food are all fantastic. Looking forward to many more years of photographing here and continuing to find fascination in all this place has to offer.

We come here every year around Thanksgiving for a few days to enjoy the hot springs, relax at the day spa (I recommend the morning sun citrus scrub w/massage), and play in the snow. Be sure to make a dinner reservation prior to your stay. It often books up quickly - try the beef wellington, it's amazing!

We were here for a wedding and stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin itself was away from the rest of the lodges and backed up to the cow pasture which was a nice way to wake up in the morning, cows mooing in the distance. The cabin was spacious, comfortable bed, had an awesome large (could fit two people) deep bathtub with jets. The hot springs at the main lodge are right by the saloon and cleaned and drained every night. The pool is very warm, I thought that was the hot tub until I got in the hot tub. Food was good and large portions at the poolside grill. Everyone was very nice. Lovely place for a wedding with great views. Breakfast and some of the activities are quite expensive. Some of the things in the cabin didn’t work great like the iron, but seems like a small fix. Seems like a relatively close drive if you were staying in Yellowstone, it took us about an hour from the north gate when we left the park. Very little cell service which is nice, main area has WiFi. Had a little library if you needed to do some work or school stuff.

I've stayed here many times and love it!
The food in the restaurant has the best steak and garlic mashed potatoes I've ever had. My steak was topped with crab in a Bearnaise sauce that was magical.

I've stayed here about eight times over 15 years. It's my special place for happiness. There are better hot spring facilities and there are better hotels but the ambiance and staff and experience is the best. Did I mention they let you drink alcohol around the pool? Also, the restaurant is an amazing four to five star experience and there's no other competition for that around here. It was recently sold but the rumor has it that the new owner is a long time visitor and plans to keep it the same. Let's hope so.

I've stayed here twice; once in the lower lodge with my best friend in spring and once in the north 40 cabins in winter by myself. Both accommodations were good and felt safe for females as a girls' trip or solo travel. The nightly rate is very affordable, in my opinion. For those who like a quieter atmosphere, I definitely experienced that, I don't recall hearing the neighbors other than them walking by. I loved the covered patio seating outside of the rooms to enjoy the cold and beautiful snow. The food in the dining room for a nicer meal was good. I've spent most meals at the Chico Saloon as the atmosphere is great and it has a walkway to the pools. The jalapeno poppers with the huckleberry jam are delicious. The burgers/sandwiches, salads, and wings are all very good. The bartenders and staff are all very sweet and have great memories. The pools are amazing. I'm from Southern California and don't get to experience snow often. The first night that we were there in April, it snowed while we sat in the big pool, and I can't tell you how magical it was. The big pool is a nice temperature, but if you're looking for something warmer, go in the smaller pool as it is hotter and closer to the walk-up bar window. It's a pretty quick drive from Bozeman airport, weather permitting, of course, and a quick drive down to the North entrance of Yellowstone. I can't wait to be back in the hot springs with a beer in hand.

Got up early one morning and went to the hot springs. Definitely recommend this fun and cozy thing to do. Went back another night for dinner, we all had steaks and they were to die for. Also checked out the saloon and it was hopping. An amazing wine cellar! A+++-

We did not stay overnight, but after a tour of the place, we will be coming back! We came for the hot spring pool. The saloon food was amazing. If you are a wing lover, get those! Chicken sand! Great selection of beer and pool was so clean and accommodating. See you soon at Chicos🤩

We only did a “day pass” for use of the hot springs and pool. It was great. The hot pool was about 101 degrees and the big pool was about 93. Very relaxing, even though there were some couples with young kids the vibe was very casual and respectful. Nice to get drinks from the bar, to sip in the pool! Worth a quick stop/soak. The bar was cowboy cool and hats nailed to the entire ceiling. The hotel looked casual, but we did not stay there.

Such a quaint and fun experience. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Food at the restaurant was top notch. Make sure you get reservations. The hot springs were just the kind of relaxing experience we were looking for. Highly recommend making a trip to visit and take in this unique montana experience.

Staying overnight in a chalet on the hill. View is amazing. Dinner in the restaurant was the best! Make sure you buy their cookbook and take a tour of the beautiful vegetable gardens. It's a wonderful culinary experience.

I have been coming Chico for two decades now and it never disappoints! Change is inevitable but it’s still kept that at home feeling.

Wonderful, historic, some buildings made of stone.
Of course large hot springs pool for soaking.
Not far from Yellowstone or Livingston MT.
Horse rides available. That does cause a fly problem for some of the lower lodge rooms. Fly swatters would be nice.

Room 409 on lower lodge has to deal with noise from vending machines next door.

Overall, good place to relax for a few days, maybe hike or fish or read a book on the lawn.
No TV at least in our room so, entertain yourself

Here for a wedding and the location was breathtaking! Hot Springs were a great experience, horseback riding, Yellowstone National Park right at your doorstep. Restaurant was top tier($$$), but scrumptious. Main hotel is close to original and a little dated, but in this location you shouldn't be watching TV or on an electronic device. There are some more modern accommodations aside from the main house.

Drove over for the disc golf, stayed for lunch, then enjoyed a nice soak. The disc golf course was excellent! On a windy day it would be pretty challenging but it was calm when we went and the course was fun and scorable.
We hit up the poolside café for lunch, and while pricey ($50 for 2, including tip) it was delicious!!
Then we braved the crowds and nestled into a corner of one of the large hot spring pools. The water was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
We will certainly be back!
