Dr. Theo Cisu is absolutely amazing. Super nice guy and makes sure you’re 100% comfortable before procedures. Highly recommend him. Definitely one of my favorite drs I’ve encountered. Amazingly super chill doctor

Great staff...friendly and courteous, and do their best to accommodate my schedule when making appointments. If I get there early, I am seen early. As for Dr. Stisser, he is the best...gives me as much time as I need, listens to me, explains things to me in a clear and concise manner, plus he is friendly and personable and makes me feel totally at ease. Highly recommended!

Dr. Jones is absolutely the best their is. He acts like it's a privilege to treat you. That's a rare thing these days. He takes his time with you and has the best bedside manner. The office staff is very caring as well. I highly recommend them. Dr. Jones is hands down my choice.

I have been seeing Dr Sam Graham for 19 years. First at Va Urology in Richmond, Va and now at Blue Ridge Urology. I live near Richmond but drive to Fisherville. He's the only urologist I want to see ! I'm sure there are other really good ones like him but he's proven.

Called there yesterday to see If a scrip could be called in was on hold for what seemed for ever and was prompted to press number 2 to remain on line and the call was never picked up decided to leave a voice message and so far have not gotten a return phone aLl. Hell of away to run a medical office.

I have been a patient at Blue Ridge for years. Kidney stones are always a problem! After a couple weeks of not feeling well and having a lot of Blood in my urine I decided to go to see Blue Ridge because of the amount of blood and the fact I didn’t have any pain as a normally would with stones. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Jones (same day)….. Big Mistake! I have never met a doctor that rude before….I felt I was wrong for being there. He words to me were… “ you didn’t come back for your follow up the last time… you said you were ok then! (which was over a year ago with Dr Stiesser before he left)… not Jones) “You have a little blood in you urine, apparently your not passing blood now! They scheduled me a CT Scan in 10 days! My records will be transferred to Dr Stiesser. Major dissatisfaction and disappointment! Do Not Go to this place!

I see from the reviews I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with this practice. Sadly, it looks like some people were terribly injured and my heart goes out to them. I count myself as fortunate since all I encountered was an apathetic health care professional who was always more focused on getting me out of her office than trying to help me. I have been seeing Jennifer Writsel for well over a year. During the time I have been seeing her my issues havent been getting any better. She is always impatient when I see her and I feel like I have to try way harder than I should to get her to stick around to answer questions. In all the time I have been seeing her, Google and WebMD have been more helpful than she has. She is quick to provide meds and not open to discussing other treatment options or exploring other potential causes to problems. I should have switched doctors long ago and have been a fool for thinking my experience with her would get any better. Someone that can't be bothered to help their patients has no business being in this field. Seriously, why go through all of that schooling and training if you literally don't care about people and you find your patients to be an inconvenience? I definitely recommend against seeing Jennifer Writsel and it's probably best to avoid this practice altogether if you can.

Worst practice I've ever had to deal with. Had a stint put in my system on April 8th and still after they cancelled two operations to remove it and the stone blocking me from passing fluids I come for surgery again today Oct 23rd 6 and a half months later to be told I'll put a camera in to see what I can do, after all this in 6 months you get a smart a## doctor tell you he will remove it and put another stint in just so we can do it all again in ³0 more days. All while I'm on leave from work, I got up and walked out. Totally unprofessional and frfr treat there patients in the worst ways and have no respect for community or patients lives or medical needs for that matter. I don't recommend Blue ridge urology for my dead dog. I concerned ex patient of Dr resinal

first visit was terrible..no return phone calls when they were needed as we left with no diagnosis. given instructions on how to help him at the house...sample given with no after care instructions. just wait for a phone call which never came. he became worse, called the office several times, last time the urologist on call was to call, as before call never returned. called rescue squad to take him to the ER, where he received the care he needed and a referral was given to another practice just opening up
Left this practice after only one visit...terrible.....

Dr. Risendal literally got up and left in the middle of my appointment. I was in the middle of talking and asking questions, but he just decided my time was up. He started gathering his laptop and papers, stood up, walked to the door, all while I was still talking, and said “Great well I’ll send in those meds and give us a call if you want the procedure.” And then he left.

I’ve never had that happen before. That’s so wild. Usually doctors always stay to make sure all my questions are answered, or at the very least they will explain that the appointment is running too long and I should make a follow up for us to discuss further.

But the appointment hadn’t even gone on that long. Plus I had arrived and was taken back early, so it’s not like we were behind schedule. Dr. Risendal did answer some of my questions and his bedside manner seemed nice but him just getting up and leaving, ending the consultation, in the middle of me talking was really shocking and unacceptable.

How am I supposed to trust him with a surgical procedure?

My husband has been an established patient at Blue Ridge Urology for 9 years. He has problems with kidney stones. They've treated him with lithotripsy before. On 9/19/22 he had pain so bad he went to the ER at LewisGale Alleghany and the treating doctor said he had 4 kidney stones that were causing a blockage, he was at risk of sepsis and needed emergency surgery that day. He told them his regular urologist was at Blue Ridge. They called around and the only place they could get him in was at Carilionin Roanoke. He had surgery that same day to put 2 stents in to open up the blockage and was prescribed antibiotics and told to follow up with his doctor at Blue Ridge because he would have to have the stones removed or busted up through lithotripsy. He called Blue Ridge and was told to send his discharge paperwork to them. He did so, and here it is over a month later and he has never received a call back from Blue Ridge for an appointment. Thank goodness the doctor who did the emergency surgery in Roanoke called to check on him and offered to do the surgery he needed since Blue Ridge had never gotten back with him. He had the surgery and stents were removed last Friday. We are done with Blue Ridge. Whoever answersthe phone for them is rude, there's no follow up,no returned calls. We would not recommend them to anyone.

An absolute farce! Waiting 11 days and counting for a biopsy report that Dr. Stisser promised to provide by day 4.

Surgery complications were much worse than we were led to believe by Dr. Stisser, leaving my husband in excruciating pain and completely unable to care for himself.

Despite leaving messages at all the locations where he works for the past week, Dr. Stisser has yet to bother to inform us of biopsy results. I don’t know how doctors like this sleep at night.

We have been here for 2 hours and not heard anything they are in no hurry and run on there own time. James Anderson especially. There excuse is always “there slammed” but I have seen no other patients. Completely ridiculous and the nurses are rude and disrespectful as well.

If you don't have a lot of money or awesome insurance don't bother coming here, all they care about is money (the entire office). They could care less about patients as long as they get $$$$$$$$. If I could have, I would have put no stars.
