Outstanding place to eat. The decor takes you back to the 50s! The food and service were excellent. I had the Greek shrimp wrap with chips. Enjoyed it. The restaurant was clean, and the service was friendly and helpful. Great dining experience. Will definitely be back when I am in the area.

This place has some great ice cream and tons of "Old-school Diner" vibes to check out while you're there. We just had ice cream on our visit but they had several great-looking specials on a whiteboard. Another trip for lunch will be in my future. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Wowsers. Small but great. Had the special, shrimp and grits. Whoa 😳 is was awesome. You would never think the combination could be so delicious. The shrimp was cooked with a little bit of spice and then added it in with some sausage and sauce... holy crow.

The food was very good, the server friendly and helpful and the restaurant was as clean as any I've seen. We were also very pleased with the prices. Not inexpensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. The Chesapeake Burger was very good and very large and my wife's Grilled Chicken Melt was cooked just well and very good. Beware! We ordered the Cheese Fries as an appetizer and the serving was so large it could have been our dinner! They were so good we brought most of them home for our son. There is no excuse to leave this restaurant hungry, so enjoy!

Just had lunch with my 3 grandsons today. Awesome food and atmosphere. Best Bacon Cheeseburger ever. Best thing was the friendly, down home service. !!

Absolutely lovely place! Atmosphere was great, waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious! I had the mushroom and swiss burger with fries and it was sooo good! Highly recommended!!

Super friendly and wonderful comfort food. Nice decor, the restaurant does have a nice 50s decor and appears to be in a former Rexall drug store. Definitely worth a visit. I don’t normally do dessert but the ice cream that everyone kept ordering looked incredible and it was. We will be back next time we are in Mathews.

Came here with some friends for lunch in January and I was shocked that it was so packed until I realized it was a holiday. Fortunately, they went thru customers fast and we didn't wait long. The place had a great old time diner feel and the waiters was awesome. So the experience was great. I had the Crab Cake sandwich that I loved. Importantly, the potato salad was almost as good! Overall, this is a place that I will return to again and again in the future as it hits all the requirements.

It is worth the wait! The food is always delicious, but last night or fried could have been a more golden brown. Although they were cooked, they were still white, and I hate that. Blueberry cream cheesecake made my breakfast belly happy 😊 will be back soon!!!!!!! Best fried fish ever!!

I vist here every time I'm in town. Food is always delicious and service is always great. If you get the chance, definitely give it a try. Pictured is the Chicken Bacon Ranch special.

The ABSOLUTE BEST place to go for ice cream sundaes! It’s your hometown cafe with lovely staff and a lovely building! The ice cream sundaes are soooooo good!!! Definitely a MUST to stop at if you are passing through town! They have a lovely outdoor seating area facing Main Street and it is so pretty and nice!😃

A wonderful little cafe / restaurant located in the heart of downtown Matthews.... wonderful cheeseburgers as well home cooking too. Enjoy...

Loved the big salad for lunch. Topped it with a crab cake. My date did blackened salmon on his salad. Fresh greens and nice tomatoes with more crunchy veggies. Excellent service, too.

This was my first time in the area , was with some of my friends and decided to stop in was a bit crowded but it was busy hours. The waitresses were all very nice and delivered our food in a timely manner. Decor was very vintage and is both informative and appealing . The food was amazing and the milkshakes are spot on . Will definitely be coming back if I’m ever in Matthews county.
