Libbie Market

I am here writing this review because wow the flavor in this soup is unreal. The turkey stew is perfectly seasoned without being just a “holiday stew”. I got a scoop of both the loaded baked potato and the turkey stew and they taste great alone and together. The only thing I would say is the thickness of the stew was a little on the gravier side but thats my preference! This hot food breakfast has so many options, I LOVE the chicken sausage. Its not dry and they make larger links out of it which is nice. Great flavor. Cant believe ive been passing by this market for a year and havent gone in, will come again!

UPDATE: Happy to report Libbie Market recently dismissed folks in the hot meals section and replaced them with friendly, smiling faces. (FOR REFERENCE ONLY, here's the old post: While we've always loved this place, the employees working in the hot meals section are unmotivated, unfriendly, and a stark contrast to the friendly faces of yesteryear. We thought it was just a phase, but it's a fact: the folks working hot meals don't treat us with the warmth we're accustomed to and just seem to hate their jobs.)

Today I had the best kale salad &
Pesto Pasta w/ chicken!
Neither were over done with sauce…
I find many of the salads(chicken, tuna, egg) tend to be made with a-lot of mayo or cream.
I loved seeing healthier choices.!!!

Great little local grocery store with meals ready to eat on their patio or inside. Nice produce, butcher counter, salad bar, and deli. Has all the fresh stuff I want without a lot of the over processed 'food' you see in other places. Small but packed with goodness!

We come to Richmond to visit family on occasion and when we do, I'm always delighted to go shopping at Libbie Market! Great products and in a smaller space than a supermarket. I'm not exhausted after shopping.

Nice grocery store with a lot of different items..Fresh and frozen food.. Pretty much anything you can think of..

Libbie Market does sustainable foods to patrons,good selection of wine,beer & ready made foods!

I mainly come here for the very affordable breakfast plate selection. It’s done by weight and my meal tends to come out to around $6.00. Has its own eating area with good coffee selection.

I love shopping here because there is so much to choose from and it's all good.

The butcher is AMAZING. Went in looking for a brisket point (not a common cut in stores)for burnt ends. Not only did he know exactly what I was talking about he ordered it from his supplier that day. The cut itself was perfect and made the most tender morsels of beef I've ever had. Five stars isn't enough!

My favorite grocery store in Richmond! Easy in & out, an excellent selection of groceries (from high end/gourmet to store brand) and surprisingly reasonable prices. Recently moved a few blocks away from here and the convenience can't be beat!

Only thing missing is the Hanover peaches 🍑 🤤 & if they add vegan and vegetarian options more in the deli and dessert bar... mmm! Love coming here !

This is a really nice market. They have a crazy wine selection, fresh sandwich area, hot foods, cold foods, breakfast, great beer selection, cafe with fresh made coffe drinks….just on and on and on. Probably one of my favorite places to shop. Five stars all around.

A small but always helpful locally owned grocery store. They have Ukrop's food like cake and fried chicken and they even sell Blue Ridge Kombucha. This is always our first stop for groceries and desserts.

I make a point to stop here every time I’m in Richmond. It is hands down one of the best places to get sandwiches and has an amazing deli. Their process is easy & fast, and their made to order sandwiches are amazing - and cheap! They also have some of the best gourmet snacks that you can’t get in other grocery stores. Love this place and will continue coming back to it when I’m in the area!

Small store packs a big bang for the buck. One of the best hot bar's in the area. Like a whole foods Express market. Small but well thought out offering of just about anything you want to eat. Complete with coffee bar and dinning in area. Great customer service. Probably the best priced meal in the libbie area for the quality and quantity.

Went to kroger very hard apricots, Publix very few and bad apricots, finally went to Libbie Market and they were close to being over ripe but perfect for Jam.

It's a good atmosphere and place for sandwiches and regional favorites. It's refreshing because you can tell that it's run by locals and locals also shop here. No offense, but there are too many Northerners in our area now who don't understand Southern hospitality or cuisine.

Great selection of in-house made hot / cold meals, amazing sweets, plentiful selection of brand name goods, always a nice selection of produce. Friendly associates, and the checkout line always move reasonably quick. I just wish more people understood that their car will fit just fine in only one space...

Nice market. A very good neighborhood grocery and gathering place for locals, and visitors to the area.
