I ordered wings and they were seasoned well. The drinks were on point, we went on Friday and the DJ was lit 🔥… definitely

It was comedy night on Tuesday so I went out me, my sister and my auntie and we had a blast the food was great we had the corned beef brisket and order of fries.. in the comedy what's the dye for it was funny and to be outside for the first round it was great can't wait until next Tuesday

Live music, great ambiance and the best spicy chicken sandwich I have had thus far.

I highly recommend that those daring enough to test their strengths eat this one of a kind burger - The Hellraiser!

We picked the wrong time of day to visit and missed getting to try the brisket but the food we ordered was very good. Excellent service from one very busy server!

I randomly came here after work by myself because it’s literally right by my job and I really enjoyed myself! The staff was friendly, the customers were so nice, and Tim (with Tim’s Tuesday Time Machine) was so nice and engaging. I’m still relatively new to Richmond, so I really enjoyed the friendliness of EVERYONE. The food was so good (I had wings and collard greens), drinks were bomb, everything was affordable, good vibe inside and outside. I’m definitely coming back again!! Definitely recommend.

Got barbecue here a couple of weeks back and am still thinking about it. The meat was savory and tender, and the sauces were phenomenal.

When I stopped in to grab my takeout a DJ was spinning hits from the 80s and 90s and the whole place was jumping. Great atmosphere, even better food.

Fantastic food. Great service. Atmosphere was not what we expected. Live local music outside. We felt so welcomed and will go back !
Update to clarify - no idea there was live music and a wonderful back patio. I figured it was a small bbq joint with no entertainment ! And the staff was fantastic. Def get the collards btw

If there’s better bbq in Richmond I haven’t found it. Absolutely incredible food and great music to go with it. They pull off a wonderful balancing act where neither the bbq or the sides outshine each other which is a rarity for the category in my opinion. Feels like a real neighborhood joint as opposed to the rising trend in “wait in line for an hour, get your food and get out” places popping up. Go if you haven’t, go again if you have!

During quarantine -easy order online, fast pickup drive through! Amazing food!

This place is a dive. And, I mean that in the very best way possible. The food is excellent, the decor is vintage and quirky. Patrons are friendly and the staff, especially bartender, Ryan, are awesome. Drinks are cheap and the food is delicious. Try the crab cake sandwich. There is a massive patio out back that feels like hanging out at a friends house. I highly recommend if you are looking for authentic, no-frills, full dining.

The half-rack of ribs looked so big before I unwrapped it, I thought they'd accidentally given me a full rack! Ribs are great and there are plenty of vegetarian BBQ options. The jackfruit BBQ passes my wife's standards!

Edit: updated to 5 stars after finishing our leftovers. They have the best cornbread I've ever eaten -- it's soft, moist, and just sweet enough -- and the mac 'n cheese made my wife immediately comment, "Yeah that slaps."

What a great find! Very eclectic, fun atmosphere. Drinks are great - had an outstanding Bloody Mary with Tito’s, and had veggie BBQ. It was fantastic as was the carnivore BBQ according to my cousin who accompanied me. Love this place, and will be going back and bringing family and friends.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the spices, and the backyard! Just make sure you put some mosquito repellent or wear long pants of you plan to sit outside! Went here for a birthday party and we had a blast!

I’ve picked up up dinner here a few times and the family loves it! The appetizers are super tasty. The meats all have a perfect amount of flavor and moisture on their own but the sauces are all amazing too. Consistently good BBQ, thanks!

This is the first time I have tried The Pitts. We had a food truck location spotted and decided to drive out to it. I got the standard pulled pork entrée with 3 sauces (NC vinegar - great job on the spices in this one, most people go heavy vinegar and forget about the spices to balance, Honey Hennissey which had a light honey, mostly bourbon flavor, and Memphis which had a delightful brown sugar undertone), cornbread (hot off the press like it just came out of the oven or a pan, very light and fluffy for cornbread - yum!) and hot fries. I ate half of those before remembering to take a picture to share so please note that you get a really good portion of fries. The seasoning is delicious on the hot fries and the fries are nice and crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. Definitely worth a stop!

Very friendly staff!! Ended up here by accident but the bartender Andy was awesome didnt get other guys name but the answered all questions and were nice. They have happy hour m-f 3 to 8 which is longer than most places. $1.50 jello shots $2 domestic beers and $3.50 rail drinks!! Small but cozy and fun

Fun, vibrant, eclectic. The BBQ is delicious. The vegan BBQ is flavorful. The sides are fantastic and the dessert is divine. This establishment is run by some of the most caring and wonderful people you will ever meet. Thanks for hosting our volunteer lunch!

This is the perfect spot for a drink and excellent food! Customer service is nothing less than perfect and the atmosphere is complimenting! Every night there is something different that they offer, as well as good food if I didn’t say that already! Awesome spot!
