I made the mistake of going to a walk-in shop and the girl butchered my hair, which I had worked eight months to get back to a healthy shape and desired length. I happened to drive by Trends on the Fourth of July, not expecting anyone to be there, and found Cat and her two lovely daughters cutting and styling away! Cat took my mess of a mop and gave it a cute cut to hide the chop job I walked in with. I have never had a curly cut, but I am beyond happy with how it turned out and I’ve noticed my natural curls are way more defined now. This is the first stylist I've gone to who didn't cut tons of length off my ends, and that is important to me. I have been to see Cat 4-5 times and she has done a great job of correcting the bad cut as it grows out. Not only is she a great stylist, but she and the rest of the staff at Trends are super friendly and kind, very welcoming. Thank you!!

“Don’t normally post reviews because I stay pretty busy with my family and business but I felt like this person deserved to have some kudos. Cat has been my hair rescuer for many years and she is always honest and up front about what needs to be done with my hair. I am glad for her input and knowledge of hair care products because some of the more expensive products aren’t always the best for my hair and she understands exactly what I want and my hair needs.
Cat has also cut my son’s curly hair for the last 5 years. She knows just how to layer and thin his hair in just the right places so it lays effortlessly perfect. Cat is a phenomenal hair stylist and I recommend her to everyone! She also is very personable with all of her clients. Over the years, every time I have a hair appointment, my husband walks in the door and tells me how beautiful my hair looks which is the best compliment a woman can receive ~ but really the compliment goes to Cat!

I met Cat when she did my daughter’s hair for her wedding. Me, being her Mom has naturally curly hair with issues. I asked Cat if she cuts wet or dry, she replied DRY. I immediately made an appointment with her and never looked back. It’s been 3 years and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. All of her beautiful girls have naturally curly hair so I knew she knew as a Hairdresser and Mom what to do with my hair. As I have entered into a new and different phase of life my hair has changed. She has been there to see how curl pattern is different and texture changes. Also, if I leave unsure of what I’ve asked her to do, I feel comfortable calling and going back and she fixes whatever I’m unhappy with and that’s only happened once. You won’t be disappointed, she’s the best and wants you to be 100% happy.

Cat has been cutting and coloring my naturally curly hair for over ten years and does a fabulous job! I always leave happier than when I arrived! She really listens and cares about her clients. I'm grateful.to be one of them!

Cat has been doing my hair for fifteen years now. She is very prideful in her work and has always been very attentive to detail. She has always went above and beyond when it comes to her work. Cat has been doing my hair for the past 10 years and I have thick curly hair that can be hard to tame. Cat colors and cuts my hair every 6 months and I always receive the best compliments. I don’t trust anyone else with doing my hair because she knows exactly how I like it.

My hair is very curly, full and has always had a tendency to be extremely frizzy. I’ve been to several different stylists. What I didn’t realize is that it’s ALL about the stylist using a better technique for cutting my frizzy curly hair. I have finally found Cat who has a certain technique for cutting my hair. I’ve never been so happy with her cuts and color. Cat’s curly cuts are amazing. She has done my hair for several years and I will not go to anyone else. She taught me how to style it and how to keep on top of the frizzies. She’s recommended great products for my particular hair and I’ve learned I don’t need expensive products. I would not go to anyone other than Cat.

Oh what a tangled mess I can weave with my extraordinarily curly hair…but when Cat cuts it, no matter how hard I try, it almost always looks great.

Maybe once or twice in my life, strangers complimented my hair (we won’t even mention the “constructive” criticism from family members).

But, then Cat came to the rescue. I’ve lost count of the number of people (mostly women, but a couple of flirtatious men, as well) who’ve told me how great they think my hair is. (As for those in my family who once had negative things to say, they say nothing at all…which is tantamount to approval from them.)

The only downside is having had to wait so long to find someone who truly understands my hair. Thanks Cat and Trends.

Love this place and my hair dresser Cat. She always makes me feel welcomed. I'm always happy when I leave. She has brought my hair back to life. I feel like my self again.

Wonderful salon! Laurie is the all time best hairstylist. I have been her client for many years. She never disappoints and makes every effort to make her client's feel pampered. Great experience!

My mother was a hair stylist and she was the only person to ever cut my hair. When she passed, Tony was recommended to me. He totally understood my anxiety and he was awesome!! I've had 2 cuts by him and will be going back soon for a whole new style.

Cat knew what she was doing, and it showed!! I have thick curly hair that is difficult to manage, and I rarely trust anyone with it. Cat took time to explain to me what she was doing, and layered it exactly how I wanted. My curls are so springy and healthy now; I'm a repeat customer at this point lol! Also the salon is so cute and well maintained

Love this place. I love the calm vibe and I got a great cut from Katie! I have lived in a few big cities and this is one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. She knew how to remove weight off my thick hair but maintained my length and height I need at the crown for someone my age. My husband loved my look and couldn’t believe how good my cut and color was. Never going anywhere else.

The ladies at trends were wonderful! They did a great job working with me to choose my hairstyle for my best friends upcoming wedding. Thank you so much!

Have always had a great hair experience with Katie L. and have been seeing her every 6 weeks for years now. Knows hair, coloring, and gives my baby fine hair a fantastic cut. Knows which products your hair needs even some you can find at Walmart or a drug store. The facility itself is clean and pleasant and you’re not in a long row of chairs; there are generally four chairs to a section and it gives you a little sense of privacy. Love Katie and Trends!!
